Recyclability | 100 Manufacturer guidanceEPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber is recyclable, although the recycling process can be more complex compared to materials like metals or simpler polymers. EPDM is a synthetic rubber commonly used in roofing, automotive seals, and other applications where durability and resistance to weathering are essential. The recycling of EPDM typically involves grinding the used material into small pieces that can then be reused in new rubber compounds. The recycled EPDM granules can be mixed with virgin rubber to produce products such as floor mats, playground surfaces, and athletic tracks, or used in the construction industry for roofing and other applications. |
