PROJECT BACKGROUND: A mobile trailer was adapted into a Covid PCR Testing Laboratory.The staff test 6-7 thousand saliva pots every three weeks.REQUIREMENT: Temporary modular steps to replace the existing ones to the trailer. The current steps were too steep and narrow, with no handrails and platform.END RESULT: We installed fully compliant temporary steps, which included infill handrails and a platform for turning space.We matched the hire period for the mobile laboratory. Plus, the product is manufactured from galvanised steel.Galvanising is a process where a protective coating of zinc is applied to prevent rusting and to kill moss.

BACKGROUND: Oxburgh Hall is a moated mansion set within 70 acres of formal gardens and woodlands.A £6 million improvement project was underway at the site, with works including repairing the roof, windows, chimneys, and medieval gatehouse.REQUIREMENT: As part of enhancements, a fully compliant ramp was needed from the south entrance and chapel to improve wheelchair accessibility. SITE SURVEY:Oxburgh Hall was the first project to benefit from the Lidar scanning technology used by our site surveyors.The machine scans the whole area, including the building and terrain.Once the photographing process was completed, our CAD designer was able to plot a 3D visual of the ramp on top of the lidar model.The final CAD designs were given to the client with their quotation.The lidar modelling process helps contextualise the drawings by placing the systems in a virtual representation of the real environment; in this example, a historic setting with grass & dry terrain.We aim to carry out site surveys efficiently and within a minimal time frame. PROJECT BACKGROUND: The construction of weighbridges and a weigh cabin.The cabin will be elevated 1.5m above ground level on support columns.Lorries will drive up to the cabin for initial checks before the weighbridges are used to calculate the load by weighing the lorry when empty and when loaded.REQUIREMENT:A walkway around the cabin in a L shape with steps to allow the site operatives access. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:2D and 3D CAD drawings were created by our designer in-house. These were given to the client with their quotation.END RESULT: A Rapid Ramp platform was raised around 1.5 metres high and included steps. The appropriate height was reached with adjustable telescopic legs. REQUIREMENT: Replacing a worn-out wooden ramp with a compliant Rapid Ramp System.The system had to be strong enough to withstand impact from electrically operated wheelchairs, support users in the case of a fall and have handrails that confirm with BS 6180: 2011.
