Application

Suitable for drained and back-ventilated rainscreen cladding system installations for all commercial buildings where the structure has sufficient load bearing capacity for a quarried stone facade. Commonly specified for extensions to heritage buildings where a stone facade is required by planning authorities and for stone facade projects in conservation and heritage locations. Our quarried stone facades are also often specified for prestige buildings and provide a traditional appearance combined with the buildability and building performance benefits of a drained and back-ventilated rainscreen cladding system.

Shackerley aluminium rail system consisting of:

  • Vertical RSF T rails with 75 mm leg and 50 mm flange in 2500 mm and 1790 mm lengths at 600 mm spacing.
  • RSN 290D bracket at one end of each length of rail with RSN 290 brackets elsewhere at maximum spacing of 750 mm; rails secured to brackets with screws, two screws per bracket.
  • Horizontal SHG 2540 rails screwed to vertical rails with two screws at each intersection. Two rails for each row of stone panels at spacing shown on drawings. An additional rail provided for the supplementary tests on portrait panels.
  • Stone panels fixed to horizontal rails by HGB/ HGBA clips fixed to back of panels with undercut Keil anchors. Four or six fixings per panel.
