Multi-Rail® is a unique five-in-one rail mechanical fixing system for use with our range of BrickClad® mechanically fixed drained and back-ventilated rainscreen brick facades.
Application
Suitable for use as a protective and decorative back-ventilated and drained cavity rainscreen cladding system on external walls of commercial buildings including residential, office, hotel and local authority buildings. Suitable for new build developments and building refurbishments.
Description
A five-in-one Magnelis® steel rail brick facade fixing system for use with our BrickClad® mechanically fixed drained and back-ventilated rainscreen brick facade system.
Features and benefits:
- Magnelis® or stainless steel five-in-one rail fixing system for BrickClad® mechanically fixed brick facades
- Enables five profile rows to be installed at once, speeding up installation of our BrickClad® mechanically fixed brick cladding system.
- Supplied as 375mm X 2400mm units as standard.
- Half lengths available to enable broken bond installation.
- Profiles can also be custom-made in any length greater than 600mm.
- Five BrickClad® profiles are connected together using an advanced welding process, which permanently secures them together.
- No on-site cutting also means no mistakes and no waste from cut-offs, further enhancing the cost-effectiveness of the BrickClad® Multi-Rail® brick façade fixing system.
- Enables installation companies to deploy a two-person team for each section of façade, with one installer fixing each sheet of Multi-Rail® into position, while a second follows behind to complete the fixings.
- The BrickClad® Multi-Rail® brick façade fixing system is compatible with any of the bricks from our extensive BrickClad® brick cladding range.
- Our unique, patented BrickClad® steel cassette profiles have been designed in-house by Shackerley for our mechanically fixed brick facade system and are manufactured in-house at our ISO 9001 certified factories.
- Magnelis® steel provides significantly improved protection as compared to galvanised steel fixing systems.
- Magnelis® steel is self-healing, protecting the steel fixing system from snags and nicks on site.
- The BrickClad® mechanically fixed brick facade system is 75% lighter than a conventional brick facade, making it suitable for lightweight structures.
- All BrickClad® facade system components are rated A1 non-combustible to BS 13501-1.
- Suitable for new builds and retrofitting for existing buildings.
- The BrickClad® mechanically fixed facade system is BBA certified.
- The BrickClad® mechanically fixed facade system uses the patented and Queens Award-winning Shackerley SureClad® primary support system to create a support grid.
- Large range of support brackets and rails to create design zones in excess of 300mm.
- BrickClad® steel cassette rails are supplied in 2.4m lengths as standard and can also be supplied in other lengths to order
- A range of specially formulated lime/sand pointing mortar is available in a variety of colours to complement the BrickClad® ventilated rainscreen system.
- A range of brick facade details is available for the BrickClad® mechanically fixed BrickClad® system including bonded corners, stop-end bricks, side bonded mitred corners ends, and ventilation bricks.
