Based in Lancashire and supplying projects across the UK and beyond, Shackerley operates its own, extensive, ISO 9001 certified factories, enabling an agile and quality assured approach to working with architects, specifiers, contractors, installers, developers, and building owners to maximise the performance and aesthetics of the façade in the most cost-effective and sustainable way possible. With an extensive array of bespoke machinery and in-house technical and design expertise, Shackerley has decades of experience in realising clients’ design intent and buildability requirements for huge variety of projects, including complex and large-scale facades.
Shackerley’s SureClad® façade systems are available with a choice of non-combustible, Building Safety Act:2023 compliant materials, including quarried stones such as granite, sandstone, limestone, along with porcelain stone, and SureStone® (an agglomerated stone material made from up to 96% upcycled marble quarry by-product)
Alongside its stone façades, Shackerley has also developed a popular mechanically fixed brick façade range. BrickClad® uses the same SureClad® primary support system as Shackerley’s cladding panel facades, along with a Magnelis steel rail, which the company manufactures in-house using bespoke roll forming material. The BrickClad® fixing system is available as single rails, or Shackerley also has a unique BrickClad® Multi-Rail five-in-one solution. Magnelis steel is several times more corrosion resistant than galvanised steel and BrickClad® rails are also available in stainless steel if required. Shackerley’s BrickClad® range includes a wide choice of fired bricks, including bricks to match the typical building stock of varied locations throughout the UK and an Ibstock brick range.
All Shackerley’s SureClad® façade systems are BBA approved and CWCT certified, have undergone rigorous testing, including seismic testing, and are safety meshed, with an A2 s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 meshing as standard, or the option to upgrade to an A1 meshing process. With a huge array of colourways and finishes available, along with a stone-matching service that leverages Shackerley’s international supply chain, the company can meet virtually any design brief, including bespoke details, special finishes, and unitised facades.
Thanks to Shackerley’s UK manufacturing capabilities, all cutting, precision undercut drilling, fitting of all anchors, and attachment of all SureClad® bracketry to every Shackerley cladding panel is carried out within the company’s quality assured factory environment. This ensures that all Shackerley SureClad facades are dispatched as fully pre-fabricated and installation-ready façade panels to site, aligned to the installation schedule and, in accordance with the requirements of ISO TS 17870-3, no cutting, undercut drilling, or anchoring of panel attachment clips or straps etc, is required on site, enabling faster, more accurate and more consistent installation.
