Application

Top hung and pivot roof window suitable for roofs of 15–55º pitch. (55-75° available please contact Fakro).

Description

Dual function top hung and centre pivot roof window.


Features and benefits:

  • Handle placed at the bottom with top-safe anti-burglary system, semi-automatic air inlet.
  • Manufactured in vacuum impregnated pine and available in clear matt lacquer, white acrylic and white polyurethane finish (recommended for use in areas of high humidity).
  • The window can be rotated on its axis for easy cleaning from inside as well as hinged from the top using the preSelect switch located in the side frame. Top hung mode opens 0-35°.
  • V40P air inlet gives air flow of 20–49 m³ and allows ventilation without operating the sash.
  • Installed U value of 1.2 W/m²k overall (Glass value 1.0 W/m²k).
  • Also available in Triple Glazed with an installed U value of 0.97 W/m²k on most sizes. Please check with Fakro if the project requires large windows to check suitability.
  • Standard internal frames are finished as above but can they can be supplied with a finish from the Lazurite Range which includes afromosia, light oak, mahogany, teak or walnut. Alternatively they can be painted using most solid colours from the RAL Spectrum.
  • Use of external accessories can restrict the window sizes available – consult with Fakro for details.

Flashing:

Flashings are coded for applications as follows:

– First letter:

E: Denotes single window flashing.

– Second letter:

Denotes the compatible roof covering.

  • E: For zinc or similar standing seam roof coverings.
  • H: High profile Interlocking tiles up to 90 mm deep.
  • L: Non-interlocking slates up to 8 mm thick.
  • P: Non-interlocking plain peg tiles.
  • S: Thin sheet/ roofing felt/ flat metal sheet.
  • Z: Profiled interlocking tiles and roof covering up to 45 mm deep.

– Third letter:

Denotes the position of the roof window in relation to the roof.

  • A: Special application for use in low pitch roofs below 15°. Raises the back of the roof window up to 10º out of plane of roof. 10–75º pitches (consult Fakro for further details).
  • J: Recessed style applications. Roof window set 30 mm below standard plane. 20–90º pitches.
  • N: Placing the roof window 30 mm above standard plane to accommodate high profile roof coverings.15–90º pitches.
  • AT: Insulated flashing for windows 15–90º pitches.
  • V: Places the roof window at standard plane. 15–90º pitches, except for EPV which is limited to 25–90º pitches.
  • W: Roof window raised 15º out of plane of roof: flat roofs 0–15º pitches.


Specialized flashings are available for horizontal and vertical window groups, mansard junctions and windows installed on either side of the ridge. Consult Fakro for guidance and availability.
