Beneath Heat Spreader Plate Between Joists UFH System - Underfloor Heating System

Underfloor heating (UFH) system for use between timber joists, using a grooved aluminium spreader plate to hold the pipes in place.

Features and benefits:

• Even heat distribution: when the pipe warms up, the heat spreads evenly across the plate, though the structural floor deck and into the room.
• Available in 150 and 200 mm pipe centres.
• No additional floor height: spreader plates are to be fitted from above and secured to 400 mm width joists with insulation below, flush with the underneath of a floor deck, and with no contact between plates.
• Minimum of 25 mm insulation is to be laid between the joists (this should be offset 20 mm from the top of the joist allowing minimal air gap between the bottom of the plate and the top of the insulation).
• A 20 mm square is to be notched from the top of the joist to allow pipework to pass through.
• Pipes to be laid in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, secured into the grooves within the plates.
• All pipework is connected to the manifold, filled and tested in preparation for structural floor boards to be laid.
• Compatible with 16 mm-diameter PERT and MLCP pipes.
• Heating performance*:
• 150 mm pipe centres: 62 W/m².
• 200 mm pipe centres: 56 W/m².
