Pipe laid on insulation before screeding with dry or wet screed.
Description
Underfloor heating (UFH) system for use in a screed floor, using a lightweight castellated tacker panel laid on top of the insulation to hold the pipe in place.
The panels interlock, with castellations 50 mm to allow pipes to be positioned at 150 or 200 mm centres.
Features and benefits:
- Suitable for use with both heat pumps and boilers.
- Each tray covers a nominal 1 m² (0.96 m² once interlocked).
- Precise, even heat distribution across the room.
- If required panels can be fixed down, particularly along the perimeter, using adhesive, screws, clips or high-strength double-sided adhesive tape (where practical).
- Dry or wet screed can be used (for wet screed it is recommended to start the screeding at the centre of the installation, not at the edges).
- Compatible with 16 mm-diameter PERT and MLCP pipes.
- Pipe to sit typically within 40–65 mm of screed.
- Heating performance*:
- 150 mm pipe centres: 79 W/m².
- 200 mm pipe centres: 70 W/m².
*Heat output at a flow water temperature of 45°, based on a tog rating of 1 with a room temperature of 21°. Consult manufacturer's literature for full details.
Standard checks should be carried out prior to screeding as it may be beneficial to load the pipes.
