Our team were called to site to provide a solution to replace all existing timber cladding during the very early stages of the project. Existing timber cladding consisted of board and batten style which we were able to recreate in VulcaBar®. Very carefully surveyed the installer Teampol was able to produce exact dimensions for each panel, so the secret fixing aligned with the support system, then we assembled the panels off-site. Delivered in batch quantities via hi-ab direct to the site compound, on time in full. Installation was effectively carried out by Teampol and the project was complete within 3 months.

Millard Road

Vulcan Cladding Systems

Millard Road was a fantasc project to be involved in. Close collaboration and attention to detail has enabled the recladding works to replicate the original aesthetic. The project consisted of two blocks just off the River Thames in Deptford, London. We supplied VulcaLap® for a number of areas on the front, then VulcaBar® frames on the balconies to the rear, overlooking a large park. Each VulcaBar® frame was surveyed by our team and assembled offsite enabling the installers to replace existing timber frames very quickly avoiding delays and hassle onsite. Every frame was different however the frame was made in such a way to allow for different steel sizes.

The Bolanachi Building

The Bolanachi Building

Vulcan Cladding Systems

The Bolonachi development comprises of 139 residential apartments, ranging from 1-3 bedrooms and a small commercial element. The project won a number of awards including RTPI Awards 2011 – Commendation for sustainable communities, Housebuilder award 2010 – Best Regeneration Project, HCA Awards 2010 – Quality of Place. The scheme includes an impressive 8-story lobby with a membrane roof allowing natural daylight. Vulcan were called in by Martin Arnold to replace all existing timber balustrading, handrails in the entrance lobby, including all vertical timber bars in the external courtyard. We had the bespoke balustrade panels fire tested to ensure the glue line, essential to give like-for-like appearance, did not compromise the Class A2 fire rating. Working closely with Martin Arnold we were able to come up with solutions to directly replace existing timber with A2 fire rated aluminium with wood finish, giving a stunning finish and enhancing the award winning design. Delivery was carried out in stages over a period of 6 months. The client has been back a year after it was completed, and there were no snags to do!

Travelodge

Vulcan Cladding Systems

This is one of the first Travelodge hotels we worked on, supplying VulcaLap® T&G150 in Chestnut finish for the soffit areas above the main entrance. A new-build project installed by Camclad, VulcaLap® was a simple and effective A2 fire rated solution – it turned out to be a great success. Fantastic project to be involved in right in the centre of Wimbledon.

Trident Point

Trident Point

Vulcan Cladding Systems

Trident Point is a large 8-story building in Harrow, constructed in 2012, housing 142 residential flats, an integrated Morrisons supermarket and car park. All combustible materials had to be removed including polystyrene render, timber cladding, ACM and timber decking. VulcaLap® was used to replace all existing timber cladding with our T&G125 A2 fire rated plank in Veneto Oak finish. Superb works which are expected to last until mid-2024 due to the scale of the building. Deliveries were lifted by site crane straight onto the high level communal garden site compound. Our technical team have been working closely with Teampol to produce detailed installation drawings to ensure a seamless installation process. We are looking forward to sharing further project photos soon.
