Application

  • Suitable for contoured roofs, roofs with irregular shape and any roof with limited load bearing capacity, provided the substrate is compatible with Firestone contact adhesives.

Description

UltraPly™ TPO Fully Adhered System is a lightweight system with design flexibility. Membrane panels are fully adhered directly to an acceptable substrate using Firestone Bonding Adhesive.

SA-19 Primer.

Firestone SA-19 Primer is used to prime and prepare exterior concrete, wood, and metal surfaces to enhance the adhesion of Firestone V-Gard vapour control membrane. It's also used to prime seams when required.

Air and vapour control layer

Type

V-Gard Vapor Control layer.

Firestone V-Gard Vapor Control Membrane is designed to be used as a vapour control layer in Firestone roofing systems. It consists of a reinforced aluminium foil with self-adhesive bituminous backing protected by a release film. The fibreglass reinforcement makes it suitable for applications that involve high mechanical stresses. The Firestone V-Gard membrane can be installed on concrete, wood and steel deck.

Firestone ISOGARD AK insulation board consists of a closed-cell polyiso (PIR) foam core laminated on both sides to a gastight multi-layered aluminium complex.

ISOGARD MG PIR Insulation.

Thermal conductivity: 0.025–0.028 W/m.K.

Thickness: 30–160 mm. Insert requirements.

I.S.O. Twin Pack Insulation Adhesive.

Firestone I.S.O. Twin Pack Insulation Adhesive is a two-component low-rise polyurethane adhesive designed for anchoring acceptable roof insulation and cover boards to an acceptable substrate, as well as for adhering multiple layers of insulation. It is a solvent-free insulation adhesive that contains no harmful HCFC or CFC.

Firestone UltraPly TPO Walkway Pad is a 762 mm wide walkway made of flexible thermoplastic polyolefin and produced with a polyester weft inserted reinforcement. It has a white, textured, slip-resistant top surface. It is required to protect the roofing system from damage in areas with intensive rooftop traffic (hatches, doorways, ladders and roofs subject to periodic traffic for maintenance of technical equipment).

Outlets

Drains: Install Water Block Sealant between membrane and outlet bowl. Secure membrane mechanically to outlet using integral clamping ring.

Drains: Insert outlet bedded on Water Block Sealant. Secure and flash with QuickSeam Flashing.

Walls

Wall terminations: Termination bar, fastened with Water Block Sealant and GP Sealant installed along top edge.

Wall terminations: Metal batten bar fastened with surface mounted or inserted metal counter flashing protection.

An edge trim will be prefabricated using UltraPly TPO Coated Metal and installed with fasteners @ maximum 200 mm centres. The UltraPly TPO roofing membrane will be sealed to the trim by hot-air welding.
