Description

The Non-Fire Rated Plasterboard Door Access Panel range is designed to blend into its surroundings. The beaded frame and door are specially set up for easy application of a plaster finish. The door features spacer pips to ensure a consistent gap between the door and frame. The door can be easily removed for frame fitting or plastering purposes.

Lock: The access panel is equipped with a budget lock, which can be opened using an 8 mm square-ended black plastic T-key. To open, simply twist the key a quarter turn. The lock is discreetly concealed by a push-fit plastic bung (white colour).

Fitting information: The frame comes with pre-drilled 5 mm diameter fixing holes for easy installation. The number of fixing points varies depending on the panel size. Detailed fitting instructions are provided. It's crucial to install the panel before applying the wet finish. Additionally, applying scrim tape to all perforated edges prior to plastering is essential. Failure to use scrim tape may result in poor adhesion of plaster to the access panel frame and potential cracking.

Sizes: When selecting your access panel, please add 5 mm to the size for the structural opening. E.g. An access panel size of 1200 x 600 would fit a structural opening of 1205 x 605 mm.
