10 South Colonnade is a modern office development located in the heart of Canary Wharf, providing 560,000 sq ft of Grade A Office space. It now serves as a government hub housing multiple government departments.Following a review of the building’s security measures and entrance control solutions, the client decided Speed Gates were required to securely manage the high number of transits, whilst creating a secure line to the building to prevent unauthorised access. After reviewing the different entrance control solutions available, the client specified Meesons EasyGate SPT as the preferred solution.

London Wall Place is a new office development offering high quality Grade A office facilities to the City of London. The scheme comprises an acre of landscaped public realm set between two statement office buildings totalling 500,000 Sq Ft.Within the development lie the remains of St Alphage Church and a section of the original London Wall, which have been combined with new pedestrian routes and landscaped gardens to create a stunning destination. The buildings of London Wall Place have been fitted with a unique cladding that reinterprets the knapped flint of the site’s Roman and Saxon remains, beautifully combining historic and modern elements of the city.For the reception area of 2 London Wall Place a unique anti-tailgating solution was required to ensure only authorised staff or visitors could access the building’s facilities.

At 33 storeys and 153 meters tall the building provides over 56,000 square meters of Grade A office space. Located on the south side of the Canary Wharf estate overlooking the docklands, 40 Bank Street offers visitors first-class modern facilities and fantastic transport links with the Jubilee Line, DLR, and Elizabeth Line just a short walk away.

Alder Castle has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, to provide 30,850 sq ft of high quality Grade A office space to the City of London. With its striking views across to St Paul’s Cathedral and great transport links, Alder Castle is a standout office development.The building is approached via the refurbished link bridge to a double height reception with glass façade which is a key focal point of the redevelopment that gives occupants and visitors a stunning welcome. As well as providing high quality office space, the building offers terraces on the third and fifth floors and green spaces for staff to relax and admire the views across the city. A bespoke light feature with bronze panelling creates a stunning reception entrance for which a modern and innovative entrance control solution was required.

Chapter Aldgate in White Chapel, close to the fashionable Brick Lane Market, offers high end student accommodation. It is one of nine accommodation buildings operated under the Chapter brand, which aims to provide a unique living experience for students from across the globe.Architects were appointed to the refurbishment project at Chapter Aldgate to deliver a new reception space, private and communal study and social areas, a new gym, fitness studio, lecture spaces and ancillary office facilities.Greystar, the owner of the Chapter accommodation brand, working with the architects, approached Meesons with the challenge of conceiving a physical entry barrier that would complement their radical idea of stripping back the interior space to reveal the raw structure of the building. The choice of interior scheme including metalwork, panelling and ceramic tiles sets this project apart from other student accommodation projects.Chapter Aldgate provides accommodation to 400 students and has a front of house team on duty during the day and security personnel overnight.

The Francis Crick Institute, the largest biomedical research institute under one roof in Europe, was opened by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh in late 2016. A striking £650m landmark in the heart of London, situated next to St Pancras Station, the Crick is a purpose built biomedical research facility.Designed by HOK and PLP architects the Crick is one of the most complex buildings in London with a very high level of specification. With floor space approaching 1 million square feet over 12 floors, 4 of which are below ground level, the design of the building was technically challenging. The state-of-the-art building was developed to minimise its environmental impact and be highly sustainable with an ‘excellent’ BREEAM rating.The Francis Crick Institute was designed to support scientific research goals whilst promoting public engagement. Encouraging interaction between scientists with an open feel and layout whilst being accessible to the public for lectures, exhibitions and a teaching laboratory for school children posed a difficult security balance.During 2017 when the building reaches full capacity it will be home to 1500 scientists and support staff.

The College offers exceptional opportunities for students making the transition from school to higher education or to the career of their choice.As part of their ongoing commitment to improving and updating their facilities and services, the College recently undertook a review of their campus security and determined additional security was required. The College wanted to control access on to the campus to ensure only students, staff and authorised visitors could gain access. Whilst searching for a supplier, the client sought the advice of a Designing Out Crime Officer, who recommended Meesons due to their expertise in supplying entrance control solutions.

Atlantic House located on the western fringe of the city of London, is the UK headquarters of global law firm Hogan Lovells. Hogan Lovells have been in the building since 2001 and recently undertook a refurbishment project to ensure the space met the future needs of their business.As part of the refurbishment an improved entrance control solution was required, to secure the buildings entrances and detect any tailgating attempts. Due to the high number of employees and visitors entering and exiting the building on a daily basis, the solution needed to be robust and able to efficiently cope with the high level of footfall, whilst securing the building from unauthorised visitors.Following discussions between the project team and Total Security Protection, the system integrators on the project, Meesons were put forward as a premium supplier of secure entrance control in the Grade A Office sector.

London 1 Data Center is the first phase of a brand new data centre development for a global data centre operator. Located in Dagenham, East London it has been operational since December 2020.When the subsequent phases are completed it will make the data centre one of the UK’s largest. In order to secure the data centre from intruders, the operator required a range of entrance control solutions as part of their layered approach to security. Having previously installed entrance control products at the clients Hemel Hempstead and Slough facilities, Meesons were approached to provide solutions for their new data centre.

This state-of-the-art office building located in the heart of the City of London is the new European headquarters for an international financial organisation.The 10-storey office building was the largest commercial fitout in 2019, housing up to 6000 members of staff with more than one million square feet of space. This modern building is truly unique and offers employees a range of facilities not usually seen in most office developments. Located within the building is an auditorium and conference centre, a health centre, a nursery and playcentre, a fully equipped gym, therapy rooms for sports massage and acupuncture, contemplation and resting rooms. As part of the project build multiple entrances needed to be secured, including the main reception, a gym and childcare centre, a cycle parking entrance and a contractors entrance. The client specified early in the project that all entrance solutions needed to be integrated with a contactless biometric readers, to ensure a high level of authentication. Whilst preventing unauthorised access to the building was crucial, the solution needed to complement the architectural intent and provide the smooth flow of authorised users passing through the prestigious building.
