Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, it is key to ensure continued support on their projects. FSi Ltd were approached to provide a product to seal new and existing service penetrations in walls and floors up to 120 minutes fire resistance. This has been achieved through the installation of FSi Ltd products by Mitie Fire providing full compartmentalization. Mitie, BAA and Firestopit have a long working relationship throughout the Heathrow Airport complex, which requires careful planning and installation decisions to ensure the correct products are used.

Blackfriars station is a central London underground and overhead rail complex. FSI Products used: Pyropro® LST (London Underground Approved) and Silverseal® Compound

Penetration sealing though walls using the following FSi Stopseal® Batts, Pyrocoustic® Sealant, Pyropro® HPE Sealant and PipeBloc® PCP Pipe Collar

Specific service penetration deflection. High movement requirement due to construction type. Firestopping requirements through flexible walls and concrete floors up to 120 minutes with typical 2mm deflection required for all service penetrations.

Installation - Protection between compartments in the CAT stand, separating public and kitchen areas as well as other facilities. FSi products used Stopseal® Batt, Pyrocoustic® Sealant, PipeBloc® EL Wraps and Silverseal® Compound.

It is a 200 Acre development to house almost any media based business along with retail outlets, leisure facilities and office space. It includes BBC, University of Salford and ITV as well as the Oasis Academy. FSi Ltd products were used throughout the various buildings to protect the means of escape and compartmentalisation of the development. FSi Products used Stopseal® 60 mm Batt, Pyrocoustic® Fire Resistant Sealant, Stopseal® Ablative Spray Coating, Silver liner® Rainscreen Barrier

Linear gap sealing for modular build environment. Particular concerns about firestopping before modules are placed on site and the movement capability required. Solution was partly fixed at factory for the modular build and on site retrospectively.

Dubai Ski Dome is situated in The Mall of the Emirates in the Al Barsha district of Dubai. It is the second largest Mall in the Middle East being some 2.4 million sq/ft in size. It is the only Ski “resort” in the Middle East. All product endured rigorous testing to ensure that they would be compatible with the extreme low temperatures required to keep the snow good for skiing. FSi Ltd Pyrocoustic Intumescent Sealant was used extensively throughout the Ski Dome.

Stringent specification met using the following FSi products: Stopseal® Batt, PyroPro® HPE Sealant, PipeBloc® PCP Pipe Collars, PipeBloc® EL Pipe Wraps, Pyrocoustic® Sealant and Linear Gap Seal.
