During the design process, real welsh slate was used in order to perfect the aesthetics and performance qualities of the LiteSlate. However, unlike natural slate, as a synthetic slate roofing tile, Liteslate won’t crack, break, chip or delaminate due to its ground-breaking design and cutting-edge manufacturing process. Furthermore, the LiteSlate is designed with the environment in mind. Over 90% of the Polymers that LiteSlate is made from are recycled.

Britmet Lightweight Roofing’s Plaintile system is the world’s only true broken bond Plaintile lightweight roofing system. The only tile to give a true characteristic of a traditional Plaintile, providing an attractive and economic finish for all roof styles, even for vertical cladding.
Britmet’s Plaintile system can be fixed down to a 15° roof pitch and is highly effective at reducing installation time as it’s 7 traditional tiles wide and on tile high. This means that only 5 Plaintile panels are required per sqm. This is a huge difference in comparison to traditional plain tiles which required 60 tiles per sqm.

With all the characteristics you could expect from traditional American shingle, the Britmet Shingle is unique with a full dry-fix, interlocking hidden-fix design to keep your roof flush from fixings. Unlike traditional shingle, our lightweight design offers the perfect solution to any project. Despite having a steel base, the Britmet shingle weighs just under 7kg per sqm!
Most importantly, you can have a sound piece of mind using the Britmet Shingle as we are proud owners of an AA fire classification (BS476-3) (equal to traditional roof tiles and slates) and we are proud to offer a 40-year guarantee against weather penetration.

Our Slate 2000 lightweight tile panel is designed to give you the true characteristics of a slate appearance, with a broken bond finish and half the installation time when compared with traditional tiles.
The Britmet slate 2000 is available in 6 stunning colours and manufactured using the highest-grade Aluzinc steel, coated in a granulated finish and sealed using an acrylic glaze. For projects that might require increased security, Britmet Slate 2000 is available in 0.45mm and 0.9mm thickness while only weighing 1/7th the weight of traditional concreate tiles and installed to pitches as low as 12 degrees.

Ultratile is Britmet Lightweight Roofing’s most popular profile for the Leisure Home Industry, including Park Homes, Stables, Chalets, Camping and Glamping Pods. The traditional British profile is available in a range of 6 different colours, to compliment any building.
The Ultratile is available in both 0.45mm and (anti-vandal) 0.9mm thicknesses, made from high quality Aluzinc steel. Each tile is equivalent to 8 traditional roofing tiles and can be fixed to roof pitches as low as 10°. This means that only 2.18 tiles are required per m². Therefore, the speed of installation is massively improved, reducing expensive installation and labour costs.

This attractive design has been made from the highest quality Aluzinc steel to give an unsurpassed weather resistance. A unique 3-layer granule coating is applied to the external surface, offering impassive looks and ground-breaking weatherproof capabilities.
Britmet’s Villatile is available in 6 colours and a choice of two thicknesses (0.45mm as standard and a 0.9mm thickness for light foot-traffic and vandal areas). This tile offers a faster installation time as only 2.2 tiles are required per sqm. Pitches as low as 10° can be achieved, backed by a BBA approved 40-year weather penetration guarantee.
