 TP Bennett architects chose BASWA Phon to provide high performance sound absorption in the double height lobby space. The smooth marble plaster finish conforms discreetly to the interior architecture, whilst providing a high level of interior comfort and speech intelligibility.

OMA and Hassell chose BASWA for its quality and reliability in this worldwide reference project. 5000 sqm of BASWA Phon was used throughout the museum, providing interior comfort and enhancing the visitor experience.

Caring Wood is an exceptional private house design, set in a rural location. The interior acoustics were seen as key to user comfort and lifestyle within this family home. The project won the coveted RIBA and Grand Designs House of the Year 2017. This remarkable residential project made excellent use of BASWA, which contributes to a calmer lifestyle within the property without compromising the design. As the house is occupied by three generations of the same family, acoustics play a huge part in wellbeing.

Acoustics are a particular issue in swimming pools due to the large areas of tiling, and because water itself is also highly reflective of sound. Hawkins\Brown architects needed a material that would provide high performance sound absorption whilst being compatible with the specialist environmental conditions of a pool. As this is within a school, speech intelligibility is of particular importance for learning – and the BASWA discretely provides this crucial function. BASWA was chosen for its high acoustic performance and system quality including the marble surface coating, which may be used in high humidity environments as standard.

The International Rugby Experience is a new cultural institution and visitor experience to honour the worldwide game of rugby.Niall McLaughlin Architects specified BASWA Phon for its ability to conform to the complex curved design and excellent acoustic performance. The marble plaster acoustic finish was tinted to a bespoke colour and matched to the red bricks used in the project. Over 600 square metres of BASWA Phon was used throughout the project, expertly installed by QT Interiors of Ireland.

Grafton Architects made stunning use of BASWA Phon, insetting the acoustic surfaces into the structural concrete. The smooth marble plaster finish complements the interior aesthetic, whilst the high performance acoustic absorption provides calm and comfort.

Renzo Piano Building Workshop chose BASWA Phon to create a calm acoustic environment in the Shard main reception. The smooth, seamless finish and versatile detailing options allowed the design aesthetic to be maintained.
