At St Nicholas Leisure Centre in Warwick, Stepnell and Warwick District Council required a fast-track roofing and solar refurbishment to meet strict grant funding deadlines. With only two weeks to complete the installation and energise the system, this project demanded seamless coordination and proven technical solutions.

Working in partnership with Stepnell, Solfit, and Stace Roofing, SIG Building Solutions designed and supplied the Gemello Revive Overclad System, providing technical expertise and product support to ensure a watertight, energy-efficient, and fully compliant outcome, completed ahead of schedule.

The result: a high-performance roof integrating 252 × 425W Solfit PV panels, delivering renewable energy and enhanced building performance well before the grant deadline.

The Challenge

The Solution

SIG Building Solutions designed and supplied the Gemello Revive Overclad System, a proven refurbishment solution that enhances the thermal, structural, and weathering performance of existing roofs while offering fast installation and minimal disruption to operations.

The Gemello Revive system provides a complete, fully tested build-up including a Vapour Control Layer (VCL), bar and bracket system, upgraded insulation layer, and profiled metal trapezoidal overlay. This creates a robust, watertight envelope with outstanding thermal efficiency and long-term durability.

Crucially, Gemello Revive comes with a 25-year system warranty, giving clients peace of mind in the performance and longevity of their investment. The system also offers compatibility with integrated solar technology, such as the

Solfit PV panels used on this project, making it an ideal choice for sustainable refurbishment and renewable energy integration.

This specification provided the ideal foundation for the Solfit integrated PV system, creating a fully weatherproof, energy-generating roof that meets modern performance standards.

Delivery and Performance

Despite the tight timeframe and funding constraints, the installation was completed safely, on budget, and ahead of schedule. Stace Roofing overclad the two main roof slopes with the Gemello Revive system, achieving all performance and aesthetic goals while maintaining operational safety throughout.
