OVERVIEW
Located at the University of Oxford, the newly completed IMS-Tetsuya Nakamura Building is home to the Institute of Developmental & Regenerative Medicine (IDRM). This three-storey, 6000m² facility houses cutting-edge laboratories, a café, and an exhibition space. With 240 scientists working in open-plan labs, wall protection was essential to maintain hygiene and durability.
Construction Specialties (CS) provided a bespoke impact protection scheme, featuring Acrovyn SCR-80M crash rails and FR-225 rub rails in Charcoal colour, complemented by Snow White SM-20 corner guards. This durable and aesthetically cohesive solution protects high-traffic areas while maintaining the building’s modern design.
