OVERVIEW
Arkon Energy, a 100% renewable data centre company, expanded its network with the acquisition of Hydrokraft AS in Glomfjord, Norway—one of Europe’s largest hydro-powered data centres. Located just 400 meters from the ocean, the site required a high-performance louvre system to manage airflow and protect against harsh coastal weather.
The key challenge was to install a rain defence louvre capable of handling high wind loads (1.4 kN/m²) while blending with the building’s exterior and maintaining cost and delivery efficiency.
Construction Specialties’ RSH-5700 louvre was selected for its proven performance, modularity, and clean design. Finished in RAL 7035 with a 60-micron polyester powder coat, the system ensures long-term durability in a coastal setting (C3/C4 class).
Installed across 580m² at the facility’s front façade, the louvre system successfully met performance, durability, and aesthetic requirements.
