How it works

The Infrared Urinal Flush Control (IRC) consists of a solenoid valve and the sensor module.

When the IRC detects movement in the washroom, a pulse from the sensor opens the normally closed solenoid valve and water flows to the cistern; at the same time, the sensor is switched off.

After 25 minutes the power is restored to the sensor and, as long as no movement is detected for 5 minutes, the solenoid valve closes, shutting off the water supply to the cistern.

Aylesbury Valve - 'K' Type Single Head

The weighted key-shaped float which is supplied with the Aylesbury ‘K’ type float valves can be accurately set in a number of positions on the brass float arm.

This in turn actuates the valve at a predetermined difference in water level, driving it fully open or fully closed without water hammer. This positive action avoids dribble, reduces noise and allows full flow until the selected closed level is reached.

Inherent in the design is a non-adjustable operating differential in water level between opening and closing of approximately 75 mm. The Aylesbury ‘K’ type float valves are also available in stainless steel, making them perfect for use in demanding environments such as desalination plants and sea water.

This is the single head 'K' Type valve.

Aylesbury Valve - 'KAX' Type Single Head

Identical in operation to the Aylesbury ‘K’ type float valve, the Aylesbury ‘KAX’ type float valves have extended drops and are suitable for raised valve chambers.

They are primarily designed to fit into chambers or boxes in the covers of tanks calling for air gaps or where maximum tank capacity is required.

To assist with compliance of air gap requirements, the valve discharge is further raised above the centre line. As a result, our Aylesbury ‘KAX’ type float valves are especially suitable for Type AA & AB air gaps.

Aylesbury Valve - 'KB' Type Single Head

The Aylesbury ‘KB’ type float valves are operated by a transfer of weight in an actuator tube which causes the valve to open or close. The arrangement of the float and buoy assembly produces a delayed change of balance in the actuator as the water level alters.

The total assembly is relatively light with no pressure related stresses. As a result, the valve does not require any supporting structure.

Aylesbury ‘KB’ type float valves have a variable delayed action and feature a chain in place of a rigid float arm, enabling virtually unlimited opening and closing levels. This allows for a considerable drop from the valve to the water level, overcoming issues associated with drop arms.

The versatility of the Aylesbury ‘KB’ type float valves also make them suitable for installation either directly into a tank or into a raised valve chamber, particularly where air gaps are required.
