THE PROJECTLondon City Island is a high-end residential and commercial neighbourhood development that takes inspiration from the very best of global metropolitan communities; combining bold architecture and pioneering urban design.The development is located in an extremely well-connected site between the financial might of Canary Wharf and trendy East London. London City Island is home to 1600 residential properties, 20,000 square metres of commercial office space, cafes, shops, restaurants and cultural facilities; offering something for everyone. We are once again delighted to be involved within this vibrant new and exciting site.THE PRODUCTThe London City Island development is split over a number of differences phases and blocks, with each development having a slightly different requirement and specification for mailboxes. A number of different mailbox models were used on the project, to match the different design finishes of each phase of the development.Our horizontal fire rated 2 mailboxes were used on two phases where there was a specific requirement for a post box to meet a Class 0 Part 22 1 hour integrity only fire rating. The first bank of mailboxes are wall recessed and fitted with a surrounding trim to provide the mailboxes with a clean finish from the mailbox to the installation wall. This bank of mailboxes were assembled into a configuration of 9 high x 9 wide prior to despatch, allowing easy installation once on site. The mailboxes have been finished in a non-standard colour (D2525-Y2217 matt) and engraved on the inward-sprung flap with an apartment number in a contrasting jet black colour.The second bank of fire rated 2 mailboxes also conformed to Part 22 fire rating standards. This bank was configured into a bank of 4 high x 6 wide mailboxes, finished in a standard colour chosen from the RAL colour chart and engraved in a contrasting white engraving on the inward-sprung flap.The third bank of mailboxes is located in a dedicated mailroom, wall recessed to maximise room for residents and mail delivery personnel to use the mailboxes. As is common practice with all wall recessed mailboxes, these banks of post boxes have also been fitted with a surrounding trim, ensuring the highest finish quality is achieved on the development.Also used on the project were the MODA mailboxes in the horizontal orientation with a width of 260mm. The MODA mailbox is popular with clients requiring a versatile and attractive product particularly useful for multi-coloured and multi-sized arrangements. This phase of the London City Island development shows how the MODA mailbox can be used in a more straightforward manner with a classic bank of wall recessed mailboxes finish in a single colour. Each mailbox has been engraving on the opening flap, infilled in a contrasting silver colour finish.All mailboxes on this development are in front / out front, allowing for mail to delivered and retrieved through the front face.

THE PROJECTNine Elms Point is a private residential development in the heart of one of London’s most exciting new districts. The project is located just minutes from the new development at Battersea Power Station, a short tube ride to Oxford Circus and next to the planned Nine Elms tube station.The Nine Elms Point development features a collection of 645 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses that have been spread across seven distinctive buildings.It is yet another high profile site that UK market leaders The Safety Letterbox Company have been delighted to be involved in.THE PRODUCTThe project features a large mail room that is used by both mail delivery personnel, property staff and residents to both post and retrieve mail. Mailboxes have been both recessed into the exterior walls of the room and used as freestanding islands with back-to-back mailboxes to maximise the available space.The freestanding mailboxes were supplied with modified table supports to allow for later fitting of wood cladding to product a high-quality finish of the central islands.Detailed drawings were supplied to the client to show the exact layout and dimensions of each of the mailbox banks so that the development team could prepare the location for the products. Once the mailboxes and support tables had been manufactured, the specialist Installation Team at The Safety Letterbox Company transported and installed the mailboxes into the project, using their CSCS carded install team.The mailbox used for the project was specified after the initial project enquiry which stated the available space and how many mailboxes were required. The COM 2 (194) mailbox features a height of 194mm which was the ideal product for this project, selected from a vast range of quality SLB products to choose from.The mailboxes used in this project are finished in a polyester powder coated Satin Silver (RAL 9006) colour. Each mailbox is individually engraved with numbering that corresponds to the address of each resident.

The ProjectThe Salisbury Stainless Project features multiple banks of high-quality brushed stainless steel mailboxes manufactured using 316L grade material.The banks of mailboxes were designed to suit specific requirements set out by the project architect that would ensure the product would fit into the installed support frame.Mailboxes feature both horizontal and vertical orientations in the Salisbury Stainless Project, offering solutions that both maximised the amount of mail stored and minimised the space used in a location with a limited amount of room.All mailboxes used in this project have been individually engraved to offer an easy-to-distinguish identification marker for each product so users can quickly find their own mailbox.This project also utilises a storage shelf built under the mailboxes, offering an area to place parcels. 

THE PROJECTThe Claycroft Halls of Residence at The University of Warwick has selected a Salto electronic mailbox solution manufactured by The Safety Letterbox Company to replace existing mailboxes. The Estates Manager at the University decided to integrate the Salto Mailboxes into the campus to handle Claycroft’s student mail in a secure and controlled environment.These mailboxes will protect against mail theft and identity fraud, provide increased security and access control to individual mailboxes with full traceable entry. This eliminates the need and expense of having to reissue replacement keys to students as they will be able to operate and access their mailbox with their existing student ID card and room key.The mailboxes will be integrated with the existing SALTO access control system which is already in place across campus and follows on the universities recent installation of Salto mailboxes in the Sherbourne residence.

THE PROJECTThe Royal Mail Pigeon Hole Boxes project uses a large bank of through the wall mailboxes that used a securely front panel on the box along with a open rear that allows for easy retrieval of the posted mail. These pigeon holes are built through a panel and access to the rear of the boxes is only available to security-approved personnel. THE PROJECTThe SCAPE Corsham project features multiple banks of MODA mailboxes which have been fitted freestanding in the entrance lobby to the student accommodation building. The mailboxes are an in front / out front horizontal type fitted back-to-back which maximise the mail storage available in the installation area.The banks of mailboxes contain products finished in a variety of colours that adhere to the branding guidelines set out by the design team at SCAPE Students. The colours used progress through colour gradients which both complement and enhance the lobby area of the project.The banks of freestanding post boxes feature support stands finished in a Traffic White (RAL 9016) colour which provide a secure base for the boxes to be mounted upon.

THE PROJECTThe Rathbone Square development is a mixed-use project offering Grade A offices and residential units situated around a public space offering numerous restaurants and boutique retail space. The project is in the heart of Fitzrovia, designed to provide a tranquil environment while being located just moments away from Oxford Street.The Safety Letterbox Company are excited to have been involved with yet another prestigious project in Fitzrovia, adding to our recent work in Fitzroy Place. As a UK manufacturer, we are well-known as being the only place to visit if you’re looking for high-quality mail and parcel delivery boxes. Our high-quality products used throughout London and the UK are tried and tested by the world’s most prestigious developments.THE PRODUCTThe Safety Letterbox Company worked with the design team at the Rathbone Square project, who provided the branding and style guidelines which the mailboxes had to conform to.The mailboxes were created using multiple facets, which included a bespoke locking plate. They also had non-standard matt black locks and wood veneer. The NEW Tile mailbox used for this development is very different than our standard range. The various components of the mailboxes are entirely customisable and are tailored to meet specific project design requirements.The mailboxes are located in the reception lobby area and through the walkways that the residents use every day. Each mailbox has been recessed into the wall to maximise the space available, ensuring all health and safety requirements are achieved.This version of the tile mailbox is unique from the vast majority of our mailbox range as it does not feature an opening flap. The mail delivery personnel can deliver items quicker, as there is no flap to lift. It also provides a smooth aesthetic appearance.Each mailbox has engraved numbering in a contrasting matt black and ‘Gotham’ font, specified by the client to conform to other signages within the project. Every mailbox has two uniquely coded keys offering maximum security.

The ProjectA well established contractor asked us to provide a range of products on a supply only basis. Using the experience and knowledge of the Streetsure team, we offered a variety of products that suited the specific elements of the brief. We supplied CAD designs and .dwg files to build into the clients BIM model. We provided quotes on a mix of bespoke and standard range cycle parking, corner protectors, mesh panelling, mailboxes, lockers, benches and planters.The SolutionThe Streetsure team secured the contract and project managed the supply of these products to budget and within an agreed timeframe.We supplied Double Decker Cycle racks, space planned strategically to fit as many spaces into the area as possible along with corner protectors to reduce any damage when loading/unloading bicycles. Our ‘08 series’ recessed option was the mailbox of choice for this project. We sent off for an anomatch colour - a bespoke colour which we purchased and applied at the manufacturing facility to create a unique one-off product, perfectly matched to the architects specifications. Streetsures secure lockers were supplied for a key fob access mail room. Bespoke STRATA timber benches with steel legs and aluminium planters, powder coated in RAL 8028 were supplied for a resident only access rooftop location, creating a unique viewing experience over the London skyline.

THE PROJECTSymons House is a unique student amenities project nestled within the Symons House student accommodation building in Leeds. London and Scottish Student Housing (LSSH) joined forces with award-winning interior design company, 74, to create something truly special.The interior design of Symons House reflects the architecture of the building, with an overarching 1930s theme including brushed brickwork and bronzed metal framework. Created with students firmly in mind, the full amenity space includes a study lounge, library, cinema, games room, communal kitchen, bathroom, gym, and private dining room.The brief for this project was to create a sophisticated, grown-up space which is a stylish change from the traditionally bright and primary-colour-saturated student buildings found elsewhere.THE MAILBOXESThe Symons House project features two banks of freestanding, standard steel H1 mailboxes in the spacious lobby of the building. One bank contains 120 mailboxes, 10 high x 12 wide, and the other bank contains 240 mailboxes which are also 10 high x 12 wide but are back-to-back. This bank acts as a focal point in the heart of the reception lobby area.The mailboxes are in front / out front horizontal products that are freestanding and rest on table supports. These supports ensure that the mailboxes do not need to be mounted or recessed into a wall.As always, we offer a range of options to ensure that the table supports meet the customer needs. They can be polyester powder coated to match the design of the mailboxes or can be clad to create a feature point.The table supports for Symons House were specifically designed to suit the sophisticated theme. The industrial, boxy, aluminium welded legs were powder coated to match the matt black cladding of the mailboxes, creating an overall sleek finish.Working with the stylish interior design theme, the mailboxes have bronze powder-coated doors in a high-end IGP finish which are encapsulated within the matt black body of the mailbox.

THE PROJECTThe SCAPE Wembley development is a student living residence located in the heart of Wembley, London. Just moments from the iconic Wembley Stadium, the SCAPE Wembley student accommodation property has great connections to the hustle and bustle of London city centre, along with the natural beauty of the countryside of the Chilterns close by. Both the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines are nearby offering easy access to the west end of London in less than 20 minutes.The SCAPE Wembley residence features a large bank of freestanding MODA mailboxes located in the social space of the project. The mailboxes are in front / out front horizontal type products that are freestanding fitted to the floor.The mailboxes were configured and assembled prior to despatch, allowing easy installation of the mailboxes when they were delivered to the project site.We have worked with SCAPE Students on a number of other projects including the Corsham Street and Greenwich developments.

THE PROJECTPaddington Exchange is a collection of 123 high specifications one, two and three bedroom apartments arranged over fourteen spacious floors developed by Taylor Wimpey Central London.The development is located in a sought after canal-side location, situated on the site of the former North Western Community School, offering easy access to a number of high-end street cafes, restaurants and shops. A wealth of transport links around the city are found at the site of the Paddington Exchange project.THE PRODUCTThe project features multiple banks of wall recessed fire rated 2 mailboxes located in the entrance lobby area. The mailboxes contain a series of features and benefits that result in a ‘one hour integrity’ rating that conforms to the BS476 Part 22 fire standards. Each mailbox features engraved numbering in a COPASETIC NF font on the opening flap coloured with a contrasting black infill.The banks of mailboxes are completed with a surrounding trim used to mask the join between the mailboxes and the installation wall. Large panels are used in conjunction with the banks of mailboxes which allow for easy identification of the relevant mailbox for both the residents and postal delivery workers.

THE PROJECTThe NEW Fusion mailbox is the essence of innovation; this luxury development is in the heart of London and offers the ultimate elegance and style for its’ residents. Mivan Marine LTD approached The Safety Letterbox Company with a specific cutting-edge, design requirement for their mailboxes, SLB managed to interpret that design with such precision, the outcome was extraordinary and truly stunning.The new development on 48 Carey Street located just opposite the Royal Courts of Justice and the Royal School of Surgeons is a 10-storey block consisting of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom luxury apartments with underground parking and leisure facilities.THE PRODUCTSLB created a truly unique, high-end, brand new product for this luxury development in central London. Incorporating multi-point opening, anodised materials, exceptional engraving detail and Italian stone cladding, SLB was delighted to create such a beautiful and visually exciting arrangement, turning the client’s vision into reality.These mailboxes are recessed into the wall with front entry and front retrieval, arranged in 2 banks; the first configuration is 13 high by 10 wide, and the 2nd is 10 high by 10 wide.

THE PROJECTNumber One Bristol is a high-end student living development home to a collection of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses. Setting a new standard for students living in Bristol.The development features a rooftop garden (known as the ‘Sky Meadow’) providing breath-taking views across the city of Bristol, on-site parking and a central location allowing you easy access to the very best of the city life.This project uses both a bank of mailboxes to securely store mail deliveries and a high-capacity MEFA Mega parcel box which allows for large parcel deliveries to be stored in a secure location.THE MAILBOXESThe mailboxes used on this project are located in the reception lobby area allow easy access for residents to retrieve their mail as they pass on the way to their home.The mailbox model used is the MODA Horizontal mailbox, finished in a high-quality stainless steel 304L grade. The bank is freestanding fixed to the floor using table supports designed and manufactured to carry the weight of the mailboxes and securely hold them in one position, whether empty or full to capacity of deliveries.The mailboxes are an in front / out front type, allowing for mail to delivered and retrieved through the front face of the post box.The mailboxes are fitted with surround cladding on either side of the bank and the top of the unit, with this cladding the table support finished in a contrasting black PPC colour finish. Each mailbox has been engraved with a number to match the apartment ID, allowing both mail delivery personnel and residents to easily identify which mailbox is the correct item to use.Safety Letterbox supplied and installed the whole solution.PARCEL DELIVERYParcel deliveries are secured in the project by a single MEFA Mega parcel box, allowing up to 96 litres of mail to be securely stored at one time. THE PROJECTThe Queensland Curve project features a high-quality collection of mailboxes fitted into a curved surround that gives a unique layout to this bank of Steel 2 mailboxes.The Steel 2 mailbox used in this project is an in front / out front box that securely stores mail until a user accesses the individual mailbox with a coded key. THE PROJECTThe Dallston Junction project features two banks of Stainless Steel 2 mailboxes that have been recessed into the wall to minimise the amount of room taken up by the mailboxes in the area of installation. This particular project required the mailboxes to be recessed into the wall to ensure that the project met building regulations in a main walkway through the project.The banks of mailboxes feature a high-quality Sapele Surround which was provided by ourselves with the mailboxes. The Sapele surround was specified by the client and we worked with a specialist joiner who created this surround. The wood is also used in a central storage area where items can be placed when depositing mail into the boxes (as shown in the photographs), or notices can be used by the management for residents to read etc.The Stainless Steel 2 mailbox both accepts and allows for retrieval of mail at the front of the product. This particular project uses engraved mailboxes that have been infilled with a Jet Black (RAL 9005) contrasting colour for the residents and postal workers to easily identify specific mailboxes.

THE PROJECTThe University of Hertfordshire project features multiple different mailbox styles, including banks of boxes freestanding with support pedestals and also single mailboxes mounted upon a wall.The banks of multiple boxes feature a ‘Dry Riser’ product that has been incorporated in to the unit to minimise the amount of space used outside of the student residence. The pedestals that the unit is mounted upon have been designed and manufactured to securely hold both the mailboxes and Dry Riser product.The COM 2 – 145 mailbox is the chosen product for the external banks of mailboxes. They have been combined with complete weather cladding that ensures that mailboxes are weather resistant and withstand inclement British weather. The banks of mailboxes have been designed with an opening that the Dry Riser product is fitted into, mounting of this product is simple with the use of installed fitting brackets.The ‘town houses’ in this project use a COM 1 – 389 double depth mailbox fitted onto the external wall of the property. The double depth variation of the COM 1 – 389 mailboxes allows for additional mail storage, perfect for residences with multiple occupants and users who will be expecting large deposits of mail on a regular basis.All products featured on the University of Hertfordshire project are polyester powder coated with a RAL 7015 – Slate Grey colour that matches the branding guidelines of the residence. All mailboxes are engraved with unique numbers that easily show the mailbox that is for each user. This project also benefited from use of The Safety Letterbox Company specialist installation team who safely delivered and installed the mailboxes.

THE PROJECTThe Print Works project featuring multiple banks of bright and colourful freestanding mailboxes used in a student accommodation building, helping to create a visually interesting location.The mailboxes used in the project are the classic and extremely popular H1 mailbox which both accept mail at the front and allow for retrieval of mail at the front of the mailbox. Located in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham near the university campus, the £12.5 million building was designed by Glancy Nicholls Architects and incorporates 267 bed spaces in five different room styles including cluster en-suite, studio apartments and even a penthouse, as well as a gym and communal lounge.

THE PROJECTThe Waterside Park project features multiple banks of a fire rated mailboxes that comply with the BS 476 Part 22 offering a one hour integrity rating that will ‘contain and form a break to a fire’.The bank of mailboxes are recessed into a wall and integrated with a finishing surround frame providing a high quality edging to the products, hiding any gaps between brick and mailbox and ensuring a high quality finish.The mailboxes feature an inward sprung flap, which is a standard feature across the fire rated mailbox range. An intumescent strip is placed on the internal side of the mail flap, which expands when the temperature increases and ensures that the flap is kept closed – stopping the oxygen flow into the mailbox and reducing the risk of fire spreading through the mailbox.Each mailbox used in this project has been fitted with a unique identification numbering vinyl with a black colouring to easily show the users (both residents and postal operatives) where each mailbox is situated.

THE PROJECTIntroducing the Bradwell Street project that features numerous individual COM 1 mailboxes that are wall mounted underneath an entrance porch to the homes of residents.The COM 1 mailbox is a versatile and popular solution that lends itself to being both used as a single product, or in a bank of multiple mailboxes popular in multi-occupancy residences.The COM 1 used in this project meets the requirements set out in the Secured by Design Homes 2016 guide by using a mail aperture restrictor. THE PROJECTBeautifully designed apartments situated in the heart of Fulham High Street, a prestigious area of London just minutes from the river, tube station and park. These carefully restored gatehouses offer striking architecture with beautiful interiors and stunning views.These design-led apartments are decorated with beautiful quality finishes and the finest detail, all carefully considered by Sitesales property group. The finishing touches throughout are complimented with all aspects of the fit-out, with mail delivery being no exception.THE PRODUCTIt is yet another luxury high-end development to incorporate our new unique ‘Tile’ mailboxes. These horizontally fitted, wall recessed mailboxes with highly innovative composite doors are manufactured to an exceptional standard with consideration to both aesthetics and functionality.Banked in a configuration of 5 x 9 mailboxes, each one has Gothic font engraved numbering positioned on the bottom right-hand corner. The mailbox locks are a dark bronze finish while the mailboxes boast a stylish polyester powder-coated bronze finish.

Following the current trend for basement installations our client had an interesting twist; a large underground area was to be created under the rear garden. Designed to house the client’s beautiful motor cars, there was still plenty of room to include an opulent, huge swimming pool and generously sized sauna and steam room with shower between. Both rooms were designed with a U shaped, emphasising the great social occasion of heat bathing with clear glass fascias providing a wide view of the pool and client’s stunning décor including a feature faux-living wall.Sauna: Warm Alder panelling was chosen for the sauna with a hidden heater to have clean lines and ensure absolute safety for young ones.Steam Room: The matching steam room was lined in beautiful pearl green mosaics to echo the pool finish.Yet another angle on how to introduce a wellness feature at home, all beautifully presented and a project in which Sauna360 were proud to play our part!

THE PROJECTFloral Court is a mixed-use development featuring a high-quality residential, retail and restaurant space located in London’s Covent Garden. The project has created a new public walkway between Floral Street and King Street, providing increased footfall levels that provide a vital link to the retail and restaurant units in the development.THE PRODUCTThe mailboxes used in the Floral Court project are situated in internal lobby areas that residents pass through to access their apartment. Each bank of mailboxes is fitted into a bespoke timber frame with an internal steel frame support that ensures multiple mailboxes are securely installed in their respective locations.The chosen mailbox model for this development is the NW2 product, an item that is particularly popular with clients looking for a mailbox that has a minimalist design finish and where mail is to be both delivered and retrieved through the front face. This project uses a lateral variation of the NW2 mailbox, which allows for A4 sized flexible mail to be deposited and securely stored in the post box. The lateral type of post box typically features a shorter depth and larger width, which is ideal for installation areas that are relatively narrow.To reflect the number of residences that they service, the mailboxes are in a variety of different configurations across the site.Each post box has been engraved with corresponding residence numbers during the manufacturing process. To allow for a clean finish on the mailbox, the client opted for the engraving to be the same colour as the mailboxes themselves. Being used with the NW2 product, which has been specifically designed to have minimal features, this is the ideal mailbox and engraving combination for a sleek designer look.The mailbox is engraved with the font family ‘Calisto MT’, which is used in other locations on the site. This ensures a consistent mirroring of fonts used throughout the Floral Court development.
