Application

The Ascent Aluminium walkway is designed to create safe access for personnel crossing or working on a roof surface. On Aluminium standing seam roofs the walkway creates a level free-draining surface which both protects the roof from foot traffic and where fitted with guardrail provides collective protection to the worker. The walkway is affixed to the standing seam roof via non-penetrative standing seam clamps and can be levelled / stepped to suit the pitvch of the roof.


Description

The Ascent Aluminium walkway for standing seam roofs is a standardized modular system, allowing the design of anti-slip compliant walkways for access on all major standing seam roofing systems. A guardrail system can be added to either one or both sides of walkway. The Ascent walkway can be levelled to create a level anti-slip walking surface. The Anti-slip walkway can be stepped to aid passage up a steep roof slope.


Features and benefits:

  • The walkway can be configured with a handrail to withstand a loading of either 0.36 kN (general duty) or 0.74 kN (heavy duty) and can be supplied with an optional toeboard if required.
  • The system can achieve these loadings without the need for additional bracing, allowing the walkway to be placed against the area to be accessed.
  • UKCA / CE marked
  • Designed & Tested in accordance with BS EN 516:2006 Class 1 Type C.
  • Designed & Tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 14122-3:2016 where a handrail is fitted
  • Designed & Tested in accordance with BS 4592-0:2006+A1:2012 for loadbearing and BS 7976-2:2002+A1:2013 for anti-slip.
  • With or without handrail.
