Description

The Sika A2 Reaction to Fire Classification Anti-Carbonation System consists of the following products:

Sika MonoTop®-3020:

One-part, cementitious polymer-modified, low shrinkage surfacing/ finishing mortar. It contains recycled waste materials and can reduce the carbon footprint application activity calculations.

Features and benefits:

  • Uses recycled raw materials.
  • Layer thickness 1–5 mm.
  • Dust reduced compared with similar materials.
  • Applied up to 5 mm thick in one layer on vertical and horizontal applications.
  • Good surface finishing.
  • Low cracking sensitivity.
  • Sulphate resistant.
  • Hand and machine application (wet spray technique).
  • Very good resistance to water and chloride penetration.
  • Compatible with Sikagard® overcoat systems.
  • Ready to mix with water.
  • Does not contain chlorides or other corrosion promoting additives.
  • EuroClass A1 fire rating.
  • Class R3 of EN 1504-3.
  • Restoration work (Principle 3, method 3,1 and 3,3 of EN 1504-9). Repair of spalling and damaged concrete in infrastructure and superstructure works.
  • Preserving or restoring passivity (Principle 7, method 7,1 and 7,2 of EN 1504-9). Increasing cover with additional mortar and replacing contaminated or carbonated concrete.

Sikagard®-552 W Aquaprimer:

A one-part waterborne adhesion promoting primer for water dispersed polymer paint coatings.

Features and benefits:

  • Waterborne - safer to use than solvented products.
  • Water vapour permeable.
  • Good adhesion to concrete.
  • Single component - ready to use.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Compatible with Sika® Anti-Carbonation Coatings.

Sikagard®-675 W GB ElastoColor:

A one-part, plastoelastic water-dispersed coating based on styrene acrylate dispersion for the protection and enhancement of fair-faced concrete. Sikagard®-675 W GB ElastoColor can be applied over existing coatings or directly onto the concrete surfaces.

Features and benefits:

  • Water vapour permeable.
  • Resistant to weathering and ageing.
  • Application by roller brush or spray.
  • High covering power (good opacity).
  • Prevents water ingress.
  • High diffusion resistance to carbon dioxide (CO₂).

Complies with the requirements of EN 1504-2 as a protective coating. CE marked.
