Application

Rhenofol® PVC-P Polyester reinforced single ply membrane system is suitble for warm roof constructions on commercial roofing projects. The system may be mechanically attached to several deck types using approved fasteners and plates.

Description

The Rhenofol® PVC-P Mechanically Attached Warm Roof System is a lightweight roof system. The highly durable polyester reinforced membrane is mechanically attached to the structural deck using approved fasteners and plates.

Preparation

Horizontal work

The substrate will be securely fixed, clean, dry, smooth and free of contaminants such as greases, animal fats, coal tar and oil-based products. All sharp edges, nibs and rough surfaces which could damage the membrane will be removed or otherwise isolated.

Elevate V-Gard ALU1500 Self-Adhesive Air & Vapour Control layer.

Guidance for specification option:

Self-adhesive to approved substrates (wood, steel).

Elevate V-Gard PE 200 Air & Vapour Control layer (Low Humidity Class Buildings Only) .

Loose laid over the approved substrate, joints are taped using V-Gard PE Seam Tape.

Elevate ISOGARD AK insulation board consists of a closed-cell polyiso (PIR) foam core laminated on both sides to a gastight multi-layered aluminium complex.

Guidance for specification option:

Insulation boards or sections of boards, which are not sufficiently secured to the substrate, should be fixed with additional fasteners (minimum two fasteners per m²) prior to laying the roof membrane.

Cover boards may be placed between the insulation layer and the waterproofing membrane, usually in cases where an insulation material with a low compressive strength is specified.

  • Roofing membrane according to DIN EN 13956 resp. to DIN 16734. 
  • Weather resistant.
  • Resistant to UV-radiation.
  • Resistant to flying sparks and radiant heat according to DIN 4107 resp. to DIN V ENV 1187, confirmed by official test  certificates.
  • Building materials class B2, DIN 4102 resp. class E, DIN EN 13501-1.
  • Resistant to standard exhaust gas from industrial and heating plants.
  • Outstanding resistance to natural ageing.
  • Not resistant to bitumen and tar containing materials; organic solvents such as  benzene, toluene, hydrogen-chlorides; fats, oils, 
  • such as oily cements and forming oils. Not compatible with rigid polystyrene foam. 
  • Hail resistant acc. to SIA 280.
