Close textured, lightweight paint grade concrete blocks.
Lignalite is ideal when direct application of paint is needed. It is suitable for the construction of both loadbearing and non-loadbearing walls in locations such as:
The 190 mm Lignalite blocks are produced using ultra-lightweight aggregates, resulting in a product that conforms to 20 kg manual handling guidelines. Ideal for all types of commercial project, their close-textured surface is perfect for direct decoration.
Manufactured to BS EN-771-3, Lignalite blocks are light and easy to lay with a technical performance fulfilling most applications.
Features and benefits:
Designs using 190mm Lignalite blocks will result in larger panel sizes with reduced vertical or horizontal supports compared to more slender walls. This provides an immediate cost saving as well as improving the continuity of the blockwork construction process. As fewer constructional supports are required, the number of connecting ties and movement joints are also reduced.

Expected Life | 100 year Guidance for specification option: When properly constructed, the durability of walls built using Lignalite will match that of walls of traditional masonry and will fulfil their intended function for the life of the building in which they have been installed (typically 100 years). The blocks themselves will require no maintenance. Maintenance for walls will normally include the replacement of sealant in movement joints and at junctions / openings. Repointing for walls that are exposed to the elements may be necessary towards the end of its service life. |
