Application
Designed specifically for use within a timber frame wall panel to significantly improve its thermal performance and generate low U-values, when used with other reflective membranes Protect TF200 Thermo and Protect VC Foil Ultra.
Description
Protect TF InterFoil is an innovative, highly reflective insulating breather construction membrane, designed specifically for use within a timber frame wall panel to enhance its thermal performance.
When installed facing into an unventilated airspace within the timber frame studs, Protect TF InterFoil effectively blocks infra-red radiation and increases the thermal performance of the airspace, and used as part of a system with Glidevale Protect TF200 Thermo external wall membrane and Glidevale Protect VC Foil Ultra internal AVCL, enhances the overall U-value of the wall when compared to fully insulated construction.
Features and benefits:
- Allows use of 0.032/ 0.035 lambda fibrous insulation to reduce cost and improve the acoustic performance of the wall.
- Enables 0.03/ 0.032 lambda-EPS alternatives to be used within timber frame construction.
- Low emissivity reflective surface enhances the thermal performance of the wall.
- Meets the permeability requirements recommended by TRADA and NHBC to prevent interstitial condensation.
