Description

Giromax® Wallcoat is designed for the refurbishment of weathered plastisol and PVF2 coated wall cladding.

System components:

Giromax® Basecoat (where required.)

A two-part, moisture tolerant anti corrosive epoxy coating.
Supplied in 1 L and 2.5 L kits of Part A (Base) and Part B (Activator) designed to be wholly not part mixed before use.
Used to treat substrate corrosion.

Giromax® Wallcoat Bonding Primer

A two-part epoxy primer.
Supplied in 5 L kits of base and hardener designed to be wholly (not part) mixed before use.
Used as an adhesion and stabilizing primer, prior to Giromax Wallcoat application.

Giromax® Wallcoat

A two-part polyurethane finish coat.
Supplied in 5 L kits of base and hardener designed to be wholly (not part) mixed before use.
Used to provide a durable and protective decorative coating on architectural cladding.

System performance	Guidance for specification option: Available with a 10 year material warranty.
Preparation	Guidance for specification option: Surface must be suitably prepared and well cleaned. Any remaining coating should be well adhered and the edges feathered. Remove all fixing caps wherever practical. Remove all sheet and cut edge corrosion to ST3 standard of EN ISO 8501-1:2007 using rust scrapers, abrasion methods etc. and treat with Giromax® Basecoat. Remove rust staining, and swarf etc. Areas of bare metal should be suitably etched. Thoroughly rinse to remove any preparation residue. Consult manufacturer’s literature for details.
Initial coats	Giromax® Wallcoat Bonding Primer. Guidance for specification option: A two-part primer. Used in the Giromax® Wallcoat System specification as an adhesion and stabilizing primer. Wholly pour Hardener into Base and mix thoroughly. Do not part mix. Brush, roller, or spray apply one coat Giromax® Wallcoat Bonding Primer to the correct thickness. Consult manufacturer’s literature for details.
Finishing coats	Giromax® Wallcoat. Guidance for specification option: A two-part finish coat. Used in the Giromax® Wallcoat System specification the to provide a durable and protective decorative coating. Wholly pour Hardener into Base and mix thoroughly. Do not part mix and continue to mix regularly during use. Bush, roller, or spray apply one coat of Giromax® Wallcoat to the correct thickness. Consult manufacturer’s literature for details.
