FR-INS4H shutter doors are ideal for hospitals, shopping centres and various industrial applications. Unlike single skin fire shutters, the model provides radiant heat protection. Due to the construction of FR-INS4H, the radiant heat levels around the roller shutter door drop from 65 kW/m² to 2.7 kW/m². This means that even combustible materials can be stored half a metre away from a 1200°C inferno – handy if floor space is an issue. Fire crews can safely tackle the blaze right next to the door and anyone unfortunate enough to be trapped without an immediate exit can safely walk past the FR-INS4H roller shutter.

Manufactured from pre-galvanized material, designed to provide a hollow section panel with fibre infill. Each section is 100 mm profiled with twin ribbed face for rigidity. The curtain, when assembled is held in position with purposely designed end fittings, which act as a curtain alignment system. The bottom panel of the shutter is terminated with a galvanized steel plate with horizontal and vertical slots.
Manufactured from seamless carbon steel tube to BS EN 4760 grade 50C. Maximum barrel deflection measured at 1:400, fitted with precision machined BDMS axles to BS EN 970 EN33 with end fitted plate wheel.
Main support brackets:
Main support plates for the barrel and motor unit manufactured from carbon steel. Support plates to BS EN 4360/ 43A with perimeter welded angles and structure support angles.
Vertical side guides:
Formed from pre-galvanized material having a minimum thickness of 2.5 mm. The door guide is designed to allow reduced working face and tapered inner faces to provide automatic interlock/ retaining feature.
The door is arranged for an electric motor unit with fusible link or solenoid release unit complete with built on starter. FR-INS4H is an insulated curtain which is able to keep its unexposed face surface radiation below 20 kW/m² when applied to the time temperature curve of BS 476-20.
