Rigid PIR insulation for full fill masonry cavity wall applications.
For full fill masonry cavity wall applications. Designed for use with a 10mm minimum residual cavity which must be maintained during construction.
Eurowall + can be used with residual cavities larger than 10mm where required (as detailed on the BBA certification for the product).
Eurowall + is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam board for use in full fill masonry cavity wall applications. It features tongue and groove joints on all four edges, meaning that boards lock together to minimize thermal bridging and protect against driven rain.
Eurowall + can help to achieve a 0.18 W/m²K U-value in a traditional 100 mm cavity, but still leaves space for bricklayers to use conventional installation techniques. A low emissivity multi-layer aluminium foil face to both sides makes installation straightforward.
Exposure zones
The BBA certificate for Eurowall + covers the use of the product in any exposure zone, but does not preclude the need to apply an external render coat (or other suitable finish) in zones where such application would be normal practice.
NHBC accepts the use of Eurowall +, other than in very severe exposure locations with fair-faced masonry, provided it is installed, used and maintained in accordance with the BBA certificate, in relation to NHBC Standards, Chapter 6.1, External masonry walls.
Thermal bridging
With increasing levels of insulation it is important to ensure the continuity of of insulation at the junction of elements. To support the use of Eurowall +, Recticel Insulation has a range of linear thermal bridging details calculated to offer improved Psi-values for use in SAP calculations.
