Application

Suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications, DryKlad® Datona Visible Fix provides a versatile solution for contemporary Aluminium Rainscreen Cladding designs across a wide variety of building types.

Description

DryKlad® Datona Visible Fix is a discreet-fix Aluminium Rainscreen Cladding system designed to deliver clean, modern façade lines with consistent joint geometry and a refined architectural appearance. Its face-fixed configuration uses colour-matched fixings to minimise visibility while ensuring secure mechanical engagement.

Available in a wide range of finishes, sizes, and folded options, Datona Visible Fix enables designers to incorporate striking colours, modern textures, and bold design features that reflect the identity of a building or brand.

The system forms part of a fully drained and back-ventilated Rainscreen assembly, promoting effective moisture management and long-term building envelope performance. Installation begins at the base of the façade and allows multiple vertical installation zones to progress simultaneously, providing significant programme flexibility. Panels can be installed in portrait or landscape orientation, or combined to create dynamic mixed-direction façade layouts. A library of standardised details—including corners, head and sill profiles, jambs, and recessed openings—gives specifiers reliable, repeatable solutions while retaining broad design freedom.

Features and Benefits

  • Adjustable subframe accommodates building tolerances for precise alignment.
  • Discreet face-fix detailing achieves crisp, clean, and modern façade lines.
  • Compatible with both DryKlad® Aluminium Brackets and DryKlad® Stainless Steel Brackets.
  • When used with the DryKlad® A2 Thermal Isolator Pad, the system supports fully non-combustible façade constructions (A1/A2).
  • Available in a wide range of finishes including PPC, anodised, and PVDF.
  • Robust CWCT-tested performance ensures reliability in all exposure conditions.
  • Lightweight 3 mm Aluminium panels reduce load on the structure and simplify handling on site.

DRYKLAD A2 Isolator

The DryKlad A2 Isolator uses a high performing aerogel substrate and incorporates non-compression embedded elements. This retains its high thermal performance through non-compression. Importantly, when installed, the DryKlad A2 Isolator performs to its intended performance criteria and has a design life of 60 years. The thickness of the insulation in the ventilated cavity can be reduced, but still meet the required U value.Due to the profile of DryKlad Brackets, the DryKlad A2 Isolator can only be used with a DryKlad bracket in order to comply with BBA certification.

  • Thermal Performance to EN12667 0.0155 W/mK
  • Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1:2019 A2 – s1 – d0
  • Short term water absorption <0.04 kg/m2 (partial Immersion)
  • Long term water absorption <0.10 kg/m2 (partial Immersion

DRYKLAD Standard Isolator

Polyamide 6 (PA 6) is a type of nylon, and is the standard product of thermal insulator pads. These pads provide insulation and prevent heat transfer between different elements of a building. PA 6 is known for its thermal stability, mechanical strength, and resistance to wear and abrasion. The pads are placed on the toe of the carrier console by pushing and clicking. Using a fastener (bolt, anchor, etc.) depending of the type of foundation (concrete, brick, etc.), the two elements are fastened to the construction.

  • Thermal Performance to EN12667 0.120 W/mK
  • Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1:2019 E

Profiles

Dryklad Profiles are a lightweight, durable and versatile solution for facade installations. Manufactured from high-quality aluminum, these profiles are designed to withstand the test of time and offer excellent compatibility with a range of facade finishes. The profiles are engineered to meet rigorous industry-leading standards, ensuring safety and performance in even the most demanding of environments.
