Description

Airtech is a fully bonded system suitable for new build and refurbishment projects with a choice of insulations for warm roof construction. The system can also be used as a two-layer overlay to an existing roof that is thermally reliable and still meets current standards.

Preparation	-
Horizontal work	Activator-Primer (Canister) APR01 – Black. Guidance for specification option: Synthetic rubber resin-based primer, developed to provide the necessary preparation of substrates prior to the installation of self-adhesive and torch-applied membranes. The spray application offers improved film thickness speed of application (by up to 50% over roller applied products) and quick drying in a matter of minutes. Coverage: Approx. 96 g/m² (300 mm wide spray one coat, 192 g/m² two coats). Two coats may be required for very porous substrates. Application temperature: +5 to +30°C. Drying time (at 10°C): 5–10 minutes. Colour: Black. Recoat time if left exposed: Four hours. Suitable substrates: Oriented strand board (OSB); plywood; timber; metal; Bauder self-adhesive underlayers; existing asphalt and bitumen membranes; polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation. Type	BauderTEC KSD FBS. Guidance for specification option: Self-adhesive elastomeric bitumen air and vapour control layer (AVCL), with a mica finished upper surface. One side lap features an 80 mm wide glass fleece along the underside, and a 100 mm strip of aluminium foil above. The other side lap has a thermofusible film on the top surface. This arrangement ensures that laps are heat sealed using hot air or gas torch as appropriate to extrude a bitumen bead, thus ensuring waterproofing integrity. Width: 1.08 m. Length: 10 m.
