Direct fixed clay brick slip external wall insulation (EWI) system.
Application
Mechanically and adhesively fixed to masonry, concrete, block or no-fines supporting walls.
Description
The AlivaBrick E system consists of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation boards which are mechanically and adhesively fixed to masonry, concrete, block or no-fines supporting walls. A layer of basecoat with reinforcement mesh is applied to the mechanically fixed insulation boards and finishes applied. The system is then finished with a clay brick slip by embedding the slips into a cementitious bedding mortar and finished with a cement pointing grout.
Features and benefits:
- Directly fixed with mechanical fixing with supplementary adhesive.
- Finished with a ceramic tile slip from 9–25 mm thick and in a variety of sizes and shapes.
- Class B fire classification to BS EN 13501-1:2019 (surface spread of flame).
- The system when installed to specification will achieve a design life of in excess of 30 years.
- BBA certified.
Approved substrates:
Masonry, concrete, blockwork, aerated block and no-fines concrete.
