We were approached to help design the support system for two new district heating pipelines running under a newly constructed bridge spanning the River Avon.There were several complexities on this project including the heavy pipework, pipe expansion, corrosive environment and vibrations.

On this installation the contractor selected Walraven concrete screws because of their ETA approvals and used our technical advice service and on site pull test for extra peace of mind.

Walraven's Pacifyre MKII fire sleeve was specified throughout the risers in The Shard due to its ability to allow pipe movement and still remain effective.

Our client saved 70% installation time on mechanical services throughout their project using Walraven RapidRail system, prefabricated before delivery to site.

Due to the curved design of the new Everton Stadium structure, the contractors (Laing O’Rourke) were looking for M&E supports that could sit on the curved surfaces and still support the M&E installation correctly. Walraven were invited on site to discuss the Walraven Yeti solution, which is an all-in-one adjustable support foot for pitched roofs / curved surfaces. The Walraven Yeti foot was specified due to its ease of installation, adjustability and sustainable credentials.

The installation was for a manufacturer of high quality plastic components. They were expanding their facilities by adding a new raw materials department to process the plastic pellets and deliver them seamlessly to other areas within the factory.Supporting a complex pipe networkThe contractor approached Walraven to develop a horizontal and vertical pipe-fixing network that would fit into the new part of the building and facilitate the relocation of silos without disrupting the efficient material flow.It was important for the support system to be modular to accomodate potential future layout changes. The piping system needed to align with the suction system that would take the raw plastic pellets from one side of the factory and route them to the different stages of production.Additionally, an external rooftop solution was required to allow access to areas of the roof without damaging the rooftop surface.Walraven RapidStrut® for easy alignment and adjustabilityWalraven’s RapidStrut® channel system and pipe clamps created a flexible and user-friendly pipe support system in the warehouse. Given the scale of the project, the RapidStrut pre-assembled connectors were a huge benefit, allowing a quick and efficient assembly. The £1.3 billion redevelopment of London Olympia is a major transformation project revitalizing the historic exhibition centre into a state-of-the-art cultural, entertainment, and business district.As part of the redevelopment, Laing O'Rourke are managing the construction of a new state of the art energy centre that provides heating for the whole development and cooling for the exhibition areas.The complex and expansive pipework system across the site requires a very large number of phenolic insulation blocks and clamps to ensure a thermally efficient installation.Walraven is supplying over 55,000 phenolic blocks and clamps to this project for pipe sizes ranging from 15mm up to 76mm.WalravenPhenolic and 2S pipe clamps were chosen by the contractor as a cost-effective and highly thermally efficient solution for insulated pipe supports.
