Test performance criteria and classification method are based on the recommendation of BR135 which states that the primary concerns for performance criteria of these systems are the fire spread away from the internal fire source, and the rate of fire spread. For classification to be undertaken the system is tested to the full test duration requirements of BS8414-2.

Optima Edge Installation Details

A clean, sleek look; Edge offers an innovative variation on the FC+ secret hook on rainscreen model.
Carrier rail hooks can be adjusted and locked into place on site by installers rather than factory, leading to reduced time for all parties involved. Suitable for bespoke or large panel sizes, Edge is available in 4mm Aluminium with Sotech's bespoke carrier design.
The system can be fixed top down, or bottom up with individual panel removal and replacement.
Optima Edge System Details

Optima Edge takes the very best of the FC+ system to create a rainscreen with a clean, crisp edge. Edge panels have no folds, helping to create the sleek, clean appearance while also being incredibly user friendly - with quick and easy adjustments on site. Edge can also be fixed top down, or bottom up with individual panel removal and replacement. Improved ventilation to fit latest standards and to stay in line with the Optima Plus range is present.
Optima Edge has been fire-tested to BS4148-2:2000 and classified in BR135 for high rise constructions. The system is available in 4mm Aluminium with Sotech's bespoke carrier design and are suitable for large and bespoke panel sizes.
Optima FC+ Hook on Secret Fix System Details

The Optima FC+ is a secret fix hook on rainscreen system. The system has the flexibility to be used in a portrait or landscape. Precision fit and finish with 20mm joints in both directions, suitable for large and bespoke size panels. User friendly with quick and easy adjustment on site, can be fixed tope down, or bottom up, with individual panel removal and replacement. The FC+ rainscreen uses a mechanical fixing methods and no use of adhesives providing true A1 and A2 cladding system. The rainscreen system has been successfully fire tested to BS8414, and is classified in BR135 making it safe to use on high rise buildings in conjunction with Euro Class A1 and A2s1,d0 fire rated materials. The systems is approved and certified by CWCT.

Optima IPC, Interlocking Pressed Plank System Details

The Optima IPC system is available as a pressed plank in a variety of materials, often pre-finished or as an extruded plank available in post-finished aluminium. They are connected by a simple interlocking male/female joint, which offers either a recessed or hairline appearance. Optima IPC is secretly fixed onto extruded aluminium support framework horizontally or vertically in a variety of materials. This drained and ventilated system creates a weather shield in front of a primary structure. Optima IPC is engineered to seamlessly integrate with all other building façade elements such as windows, doors and louvres. The system has been independently tested and certified to meet CWCT rigorous specification for rainscreen cladding. All fixings used in the system are stainless steel.

Shingles are available in an extensive range of size, shape and material. They are designed to overlap and interlock to be completely secretly fixed. Engineered to integrate seamlessly with other facade elements like windows, doors and louvres. Suitable for all types of wall constructions including new builds and refurbishments. Different shapes can be utilised to create a weathered facade.
Sheet metal shingles offer a cladding solution where different shapes including rectangular, rhomboid and diamond shape that can be utilised to create a weather facade.

The most economical rainscreen alternative solution to a complete secret fix rainscreen, TFC+ has been developed with superior manufacturing techniques to ensure no build-up of metal thickness at the cruciform joint.
Optima TFC+ has been independently tested and certified to meet CWCT rigorous specifications for rainscreen cladding. Fire tested to BS8414-2:2025, and classified to BR135 for high rise buildings.

Whilst being the most economical rainscreen solution, requiring discreet fixings in the vertical panel recess, the engineering of the system retains the benefits of a drained and ventilated façade. The Optima XPC Extruded Plank Rainscreen System is manufactured from extruded metal, an extremely stiff alloy, and is the most robust and durable product. Completely secretly fixed extruded aluminium plank rainscreen which has set flat face modules of 150mm, 200mm, 225mm and 250mm as well as 150mm modules castellated extruded aluminium plank rainscreen. The XPC is extremely adaptable and we are able to bring the dimensions of the system down to ground level to maximise its strength in the areas most susceptible to damage.
This system has been independently tested and certified to meet CWCT rigorous specification for rainscreen.
