Forming part of the award-winning redevelopment at Battersea Power Station, the engine room is home to a luxurious co-working space split across two levels. With an art-deco inspired interior, The engine room contains a small coffee shop area, high-end hybrid workspaces, meeting rooms, individual offices, collaborative spaces and a members lounge.The client required a room-divider that would suit the art-deco interior, and provide drama and intrigue to the space. The solution could not compromise the aesthetics and had to be versatile enough to not interfere with the area when not in use. And to make things just a little more interesting, the solution had to be fitted on support beams at a height of 6.5m!The specification used two SG 5600 curved motorised curtain tracks suspended on beams using V-and-vertical hangers all precisely measured to cope with the weight of the long, heavy curtains. Both systems are controlled using radio hand-held remote controls with the reassurance of the manual override in the event of a power failure.Additional SG 6870 manual wave curtain tracks face fixed with Smart Fix brackets were specified for the meeting rooms and individual offices.

Bowcliffe Hall is a stately home now hosting large events. the Blackburn Wing is a 2000sq ft tree house conference and event venue shaped like an airplane wing and nestled in ancient woodland at the heart of the estate. The challenge for Silent Gliss was to specify and discreetly fit products to work perfectly on sloping ceilings with an open plan design objective. the solution was found using the Silent Gliss motorised roller blinds System 4960 and 4880.

Dana Petroleum is an oil and gas company and the project was to refurbish their UK offices in Aberdeen. The multiple floors in this office block required blinds coordinated to specific colour themes. Silent Gliss SG 4910 were specified - 233 blinds installed, some with a screen fabric, some with a blackout option. This was achieved by installing double systems with the blackout blind to the back of the window.

A client in Essex wanted to adorn their luxury residence with digitally printed blinds throughout. From nature to citiscape, over 30 panels were printed and suspended from the Silent Gliss panel glide system.

The Dordrechts museum showcases gallery the prints of mainly Dutch painters and craftsmanship from the 17th century to today. A soft and filtered light was necessary which was achieved by combining specific lighting with Silent Gliss roller blinds systems.

The architectural concept with a campus character provides for versatile utilisation options for the office space. The five-part building complex consists of five to seven-storey office buildings. The project stands on a very light, almost floating building structure and is characterised by its reflective façade elements. The arrangement of the buildings creates three inner courtyards. The Silent Gliss curtains divide the rooms into various rectangular or trapezoidal areas by means of numerous bends. The bright blue fabric provides a beautiful contrast to the white and light-coloured rooms.

The head office of Colonial company (a division of CaixaBank) is one of the four most important banks in Spain.Silent Gliss equipped the offices and meeting rooms with a total of 15 hand operated curtain tracks. The curtains add a touch of elegance to the meeting rooms while protecting privacy. 

A subtle, discreet but high-performing curtain track system was required to shade this glazed space. The Silent Gliss SG 1080 curtain track system was selected due to the small size, discreet fixings and high-performing curtain gliding properties.

This private home in London required an understated but significant curtain hanging system for a feature bay window. Silent Gliss Metropole 50mm was specified, custom bent to the shape of the bay.

Sevenoaks School is a leading independent school located in Kent, England. The new Science and Technology Centre is one of the most sophisticated, high-specification education buildings in the UK. The interior is designed to encourage curiosity and collaboration among young scientists.Silent Gliss blinds were layered in the laboratories using roller blinds SG 4910 with Aluscreen Futura fabric to provide glare protection in daylight, and dim-out system SG 4740 for room darkening. To blend harmoniously with the surroundings, the profiles are colour matched to the window frames. The social and study areas are fitted with hand-operated curtain tracks SG 6840 with Wave for a softer room ambience. The end result is an aesthetically stunning, award-winning education facility which has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.

A private home in London was fitted with Metropole 23mm SG 7600 in Ecru. The client selected the pole specifically because the smaller size was more elegant and less imposing on the traditional sash windows. Curtains are Swiss heading by Silent Gliss using Colorama 1 Multicolour.

The transparent Colorama 1 fabric Wave curtains create a harmonius appearance both inside and out. A great example of where Silent Gliss products can be specified across many apartments in a single development. This large luxury apartment complex wanted to optimise the look of the building from the outside as well as the inside. All apartments installed Silent Gliss Wave on the main side of the building which gave an overall co-ordinated and stylish effect to onlookers. Combined with other motorised roller blinds, this project is a great example of how Silent Gliss can use it’s wide product range to meet the needs of any kind of shading requirement.
