From a simple “option” to an ethical and conscious choice, sustainability really matters today and Athesys, with the renovation of its headquarters, wanted to give a real demonstration of this.An environment with precise architectural standards, but based on the eco-sustainability of the materials used. The request was immediately reflected in the natural cork finishing proposed by Nesite Interior, chosen by Ahesys for both the floor and walls for its extraordinary characteristics.Cork, in fact, has intrinsic properties that improve acoustics, walking comfort, preserves air quality, is antistatic, non-toxic and hypoallergenic, resistant to mould and bacteria, as well as excellent thermal insulation, while ensuring breathability. The Cereal Docks Academy project represents a perfect example of active collaboration between designer and supplier, where every detail was conceived to embrace change. The space was created as an elevation above the Cereal Docks headquarters, also designed by architect Aldo Peressa, with the aim of providing a multifunctional area capable of accommodating up to 200 people.The architecture develops into a linear volume, a parallelepiped interrupted by a curved wall recalling the bow of a ship. The internal space is set lower than the external level, creating the effect of a nautical cockpit: those seated inside have their eye level aligned with the external floor.Product:ParquetTotal Area500m2

Biennale 2022, the raised floor supports the ”weight of art” of Simone Leigh in the US Pavilion.The installation of the raised floor in the USA Pavilion approach an interpretation of the exhibition in mechanical terms, closely related to the dimensions and weights of the works.The floor system in fact represents a high load capacity solution, where the correct weight distribution has been obtained with modules at minimum height, strengthened by a specific structure.The project ended with the search for finishing, identified in a porcelain stoneware covering similar in pattern and colours to the original Venetian terrace.ProductCeramic stonewareCalcium SulphateBPCTotal Area300m2
