US Pavilion Biennale

Biennale 2022, the raised floor supports the ”weight of art” of Simone Leigh in the US Pavilion.

The installation of the raised floor in the USA Pavilion approach an interpretation of the exhibition in mechanical terms, closely related to the dimensions and weights of the works.

The floor system in fact represents a high load capacity solution, where the correct weight distribution has been obtained with modules at minimum height, strengthened by a specific structure.

The project ended with the search for finishing, identified in a porcelain stoneware covering similar in pattern and colours to the original Venetian terrace.
