Millworks Mokuzai® Surface Textures

Millworks Mokuzai® Surface Textures

Millworks Ltd

Millworks® Mokuzai® uses 'Shousugiban', a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation by charring with fire. Each piece is burned, textured and then coated, resulting in a scorched finish bringing out the natural beauty of the woods texture and grain pattern with a magnificent depth of colour. Different surface finishes can be achieved depending on the wood species, burn intensity, texture and coatings.
