A renovated listed building in Glasgow city centre has offered CoVault the ideal space to create a contemporary hybrid workspace. The historic building, formerly the residence of a previous Lord Provost, convener of Glasgow City Council, now houses CoVault’s head office and a flexible multi-tenanted workspace which provides a one-stop-shop for local entrepreneurs and growing businesses.When Victoria Scott, project manager at CoVault, started to plan the interior she knew that using several complementary flooring patterns would effectively zone areas for different activities, something that was key to making the most of the vast open plan space. With a selection of flooring designs in keeping with the age of the building and a welcoming home from home feel, the space now boasts a refreshed but characterful update that is sympathetic to its colourful past.

Groupe Atlantic’s mission is to help society rise to the challenge of reducing energy consumption and increasing the use of renewable energy whilst still satisfying the demand for thermal comfort. So when RFD Interior Architecture was asked to design and build the interiors for its new Expert Training Academy in East Yorkshire, where the heating and hot water industry could learn about the next generation of renewable energy sourced appliances, it was key that the academy’s interior should itself have minimal impact.With this in mind, the project focused on mirroring Groupe Atlantic’s commercial approach by using sustainable materials and recycled products wherever possible to provide a practical, low maintenance interior with authentic natural aesthetics.

Longleat Safari Park was looking to create a new
restaurant to reflect its spectacular 9000-acre
surroundings and withstand the demands of a popular
tourist destination. Space Group was selected to design
and fit the new restaurant and coffee bar, opting for
Karndean Da Vinci Molten, Opus Carbo and a unique
combination of Van Gogh Honey Oak, Van Gogh
Distressed Oak and Van Gogh French Oak to create
a mix and match pattern reminiscent of the natural
colouring of Longleat’s residents.

The centrepiece of the expansion, by Springfield
Healthcare, is the unique bustling marketplace,
featuring Karndean’s Opus Terra alongside some
of the original wooden planks. In addition, the
reminiscent corridor hosting the story of Terry’s
features the striking nut brown tones of Knight Tile
Mid Brushed Oak.
