The Swan located in the village of Banton, North Lanarkshire, is a thriving shared community enterprise.Engaging closely with the whole community, Bruach Design and Consultancy has created a light and contemporary hub that meets the needs of a modern village community and reflects the environment and history of its rural locality.

When property and construction consultants, Thomas & Adamson, wanted to adopt a new way of working with a more flexible mix of home and office based working, it was clear that a different office layout would be needed.To facilitate the move to a hybrid working model, Form Design Consultants were appointed to refurbish the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. The aim was to create a welcoming environment which would improve productivity, creativity and staff wellbeing by offering structure, sociability, independence and flexibility.

Tool & Gauge Kitchen is a café and shared kitchen facility located within the new Frome Business Park in Somerset. The team at Interaction has designed a contemporary social space where people can eat, drink and connect, with a modern monochrome design that respects the building’s industrial history. It was important that the flooring offered a practical surface with plenty of character and a sense of intrigue.

Looking to make an impact on their sophisticated clientele, the team behind Tuxedo – the premium new bar and clubbing destination within Glasgow’s vibrant Merchant City neighbourhood – opted for Karndean’s Knight Tile Carrara marble and Kaleidoscope’s Pennon design in Opus Luna, Urbus, and Ombra.

Wessex Water was keen to give the existing staff restaurant and seating area at its head office a new lease of life with a fresh modern look that would encourage use of the space throughout the day.Hambury Hird Design was commissioned to give the communal space a more friendly, welcoming atmosphere with multi-purpose facilities where staff would be happy to spend their break time and use for working quietly and informal meetings with colleagues and visitors.
