Its 25dB impact noise reduction improves the shopping experience, while its anti-ravel texture ensures long-lasting durability and low maintenance costs.Diamond Entrance Mat provides excellent dirt and moisture control with its cobbled surface, preventing contaminants from entering the store. The mat was also customised with its logo, enhancing branding.Together, these products created a cohesive, stylish look, reinforced the store’s branding, and offered a cost-effective, durable solution. The flooring transformation improved both the store's functionality and the overall customer experience.

The project was led by Kier Construction and received industry recognition as Winner of the 2025 Contract Flooring Journal (CFJ) Award for Best Use of Flooring in Education, celebrating both the Supacord specification and its high-quality installation.The school required a flooring solution that offered:Durability for high-footfall areas, including classrooms, corridors, and staircasesAcoustic performance to support concentrationSafety underfoot, particularly on stairsA cohesive, professional aesthetic throughout the buildingEase of maintenance and cleaningCompliance with sustainability standardsTo meet these needs, 700 m² of Supacord carpet tiles and 48 m² of Battleship entrance matting were installed by Westcotes Flooring, specialists in education and public-sector projects. Supacord tiles offered a Class 33 Heavy Contract rating, excellent acoustic properties, slip resistance, low maintenance, and BREEAM A+ certification, while Battleship matting enhanced durability and cleanliness at entry points.Installation included full subfloor preparation to ensure long-term performance, integration of entrance matting, and precise coordination across two floors and staircases. From November 2024 to February 2025, Supacord carpet tiles were installed at Gathering Gallery in Soho, London, for A Message for Everybody, a solo exhibition by French artist Ndayé Kouagou. The exhibition combined performance, film, sculpture, and installation to explore themes of language, identity, and perception, creating a dreamlike, multi-sensory environment for visitors.Supacord carpet tiles played a central role in the exhibition, acting as both a visual and conceptual extension of Kouagou’s themes. Bold geometric motifs, including arrows and the letters ‘A’ and ‘Z’, guided visitor movement while symbolizing beginnings, endings, and nonlinear narratives. Supacord’s modular design allowed precise installation across the complex gallery layout, providing a durable, comfortable, and visually striking foundation for the immersive experience.Installation was carried out by Selby Contract Flooring, ensuring accuracy and quality, while all tiles were professionally uplifted and fully recycled at the end of the exhibition, supporting sustainability and circular design principles.Overall, the project demonstrates how thoughtful material selection and design collaboration can enhance both the function and conceptual impact of a cultural space, integrating practical performance with artistic intention.

Originally built as a community assembly hall by William Hesketh Lever, the theatre retains distinctive architectural features, including its 1920s proscenium stage.For the project, Wellington Velour carpet in Claret was selected to provide a heritage-sensitive aesthetic, durability under heavy footfall, and acoustic benefits, reducing impact noise by 24dB. Its plush, traditional theatre feel complements the venue’s historic timberwork and plaster detailing while offering long-lasting performance in circulation areas, aisles, and the auditorium.Installation was carried out by Bogans Carpets, Liverpool, specialists in high-traffic and heritage settings, following tessellated layout specifications. The installation preserved the theatre’s historic features while delivering a seamless, functional, and visually striking finish.Overall, the project highlights how Wellington Velour balances durability, acoustic comfort, and heritage aesthetics, ensuring the Gladstone Theatre remains a resilient and inviting cultural venue for future generations.

One of the largest JD Sports stores underwent a major renovation, focusing on creating a clean, welcoming, and highly functional entrance for customers. To achieve this, they chose Heckmondwike’s Hippo entrance matting in Anthracite for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The primary challenge was selecting a matting solution that could handle high foot traffic while maintaining a polished look. The Hippo matting was ideal, thanks to its heavy-duty, high-performance fibres that trap dirt, moisture, and debris. Its rubber waffle backing offers a non-slip, stable surface, enhancing safety and reducing movement. Since installation, the mat has exceeded expectations, reducing dirt and maintenance costs while enhancing the store’s overall appearance. The Northstowe Education Campus in Cambridgeshire is a £45 million, all-through educational development completed in summer 2020. Designed by Frank Shaw Architects and constructed by Kier, the campus serves over 2,300 students across a secondary school, sixth form, primary school, and SEN facility, forming a central hub for the sustainable new town of Northstowe.The project required a flooring solution that could withstand high-traffic areas, provide acoustic benefits, support inclusive learning, ensure durability, and meet sustainability standards. To meet these needs, 4,700 m² of Supacord carpet tiles were supplied by Heckmondwike and installed by Blade Flooring. The Pudsey Sixth Form College, a purpose-built £11.4 million facility in West Yorkshire, opened in September 2025, accommodating 600 students aged 16–18. Delivered in partnership with Luminate Education Group and three local secondary schools, the college strengthens post-16 education provision in the region. Constructed by Caddick Construction, the building prioritises sustainability, adaptability, and student wellbeing.As part of this vision, Supacord carpet tiles were specified throughout teaching and circulation areas to provide a robust, low-maintenance flooring solution suitable for high-traffic educational spaces. A diverse palette of colours, including Steel Grey, Flint, Orange, Yellow, Onyx, Emerald, and Blue Moon, was used to support interior design, create zoned layouts, and aid navigation. The mat featured the club's logo prominently, matched their colors, and was crafted from a durable blend of polypropylene and recycled polyester. It was installed seamlessly, enhancing the clubhouse's visual appeal while being easy to clean and resistant to stains. The mat has been praised for its quality, and it has helped reinforce the club's brand identity, provided functionality, and is a cost-effective, long-lasting addition to the facility.
