OVERVIEW
The Northstowe Education Campus in Cambridgeshire is a £45 million, all-through educational development completed in summer 2020. Designed by Frank Shaw Architects and constructed by Kier, the campus serves over 2,300 students across a secondary school, sixth form, primary school, and SEN facility, forming a central hub for the sustainable new town of Northstowe.
The project required a flooring solution that could withstand high-traffic areas, provide acoustic benefits, support inclusive learning, ensure durability, and meet sustainability standards. To meet these needs, 4,700 m² of Supacord carpet tiles were supplied by Heckmondwike and installed by Blade Flooring.

The campus has been recognised with multiple awards, including Education Project of the Year (East of England Property Awards 2025), demonstrating how careful material specification and installation can create functional, inclusive, and sustainable educational environments.
