Alder Hey Hospital

The Alder Hey Children’s Hospital won the Prime Minister’s Better Public Building award at the 2016 British Construction Awards. This building was designed to provide the best quality of healthcare possible in an environment that will develop the recovery process of patients. Costing over £250 million and named the ‘hospital under the hill’, it is designed to blend into the current environment and landscape incorporating grass from Springfield park in Liverpool curving up and over the building. This project was a connection of architecture and engineering to produce a natural and calming environment for the children and families.
Amstel Tower

With an underground parking garage with 171 spaces and on the ground floor two catering establishments, it is a spectacular building with a great view of the river Amstel and the city centre. It is described as an asset to the Amsterdam skyline.

Leeds City College

Leeds City college was formed in 2009 after merging with 3 other educational facilities and is now one of the largest Further Education establishments in the UK. The college takes every aspect of safety into account and required safe roof access for maintenance works.
Working directly with the college, Sam Wakeling (Estimator) carried out the initial site survey to assess the clients’ requirements and discuss the suitable solutions that Eurosafe Solutions could provide. All the roof areas are located at different levels, therefore a solution to provide safe access was required.
London Bridge Station

Network Rail has redeveloped the 180-year old London Bridge station – the fourth busiest station in the country with over 54 million passengers passing through every year. To redevelop such a vast, complex site Network Rail required a team that would work together with one goal in mind and add value by presenting viable solutions.
Designed by Grimshaw, the remodelling of the station integrated Victorian architecture with 21st Century infrastructure, including a new, naturally lit concourse larger than the pitch at Wembley Stadium.
London Victoria Tube Station

A Noracon Travelling Gantry was installed to the full width and length of the North Ticket Hall suspended from aluminium monorails concealed within the ceiling.
The Gantry was designed to travel parallel to the escalators beneath utilising a rope driven trolley which removed the requirement for any electrical connections.
To enable the platform to travel the full length. part of the gantry was designed to become detached from the main section, allowing it to be “jettisoned” at the point where the new lift obstructs travel. The two sections become independent allowing the gantry to travel the remaining distance.
Olympic Park - London Aquatics Centre

With Eurosafe Solutions playing a part in the ‘exemplary health and safety record’ of the London 2012 Olympics, which has become a key part of the Olympic legacy.
Salisbury Cathedral

Eurosafe Solutions has ensured safe access to Salisbury Cathedral, which has the tallest spire in Britain! The main body of the cathedral was completed in only 38 years, from 1220 to 1258. Since 1549, the cathedral has had the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom, at 404 feet (123m). Visitors can take the “Tower Tour” where the interior of the hollow spire, with its ancient wood scaffolding, can be viewed. The cathedral also has the largest cloister and the largest cathedral close in Britain at 80 acres.
Sheffield Hallam University - Charles Street Building

This development brings together the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and will primarily focus on training teachers and house the Sheffield Institute of Education
Sheffield United Football Club

Bramall Lane – Sheffield United Football Club’s home – is rich in history. It remains one of the oldest grounds in the world still used for professional football.
The idea of Bramall Lane came from the mind of a champion of cricket from Sheffield, Michael J. Ellison. In 1854, he was the primary driving force behind the idea of having a new first-class cricket and sporting venue for the city, giving six of the local leading clubs an enclosure to be proud of.
It saw its first football match take place on 29th December 1862.
Snowdon Summit Building

The Summit Building at Hafod Eryri (Mount Snowdon) is located at 3,560ft (1,085 metres) above sea level - the highest point in the British Isles outside Scotland. The building, which was officially opened in June 2009, attracts half a million visitors per year and includes a visitors centre and cafe.

The Hardanger Bridge, Norway

The Hepworth Wakefield

The Hepworth Gallery required access to their low pitched roofs to facilitate safe working at height when carrying out external glazing cleaning and general maintenance. The concrete design of the building resulted in a thin roof construction, so The Gallery needed to ensure that any systems installed were fit-for-purpose, fully tested and compatible. With such a prestigious and architecturally prominent building, it was imperative that the chosen system also suited the design of the building.
The Kelpies

Eurosafe Solutions undertook the challenge and provided a safety solutions to Scotland’s Largest Art Installation, the Kelpies.
Working alongside the main contractor on the project, SH Structures, Eurosafe Solutions supplied and installed an internal ladder within each of the horse heads, one 19 meters high and another 21 meters high whilst also providing rope access assistance to the installers of the structures external cladding.
The ladders provided by Eurosafe Solutions consist of multiple sections of Glideloc “Y” spar ladder sections, with a pivot section at the front of each which can be locked to prevent unauthorised use.
The Lumen - BMU

Working alongside our partner GPBMU we were able to offer our GPI model building maintenance unit which provides 2 person access to the complete façade. This model also incorporates an auxiliary hoist function with a load capacity of 500kg for the glass replacement.
Whitechapel Station

Whitechapel Station is a London Underground & Overground station in the district of Whitechapel in greater London and was originally opened in 1876. Since then it has been redeveloped many times to take into account the growing use of the station. Whilst step-free access is not available, with all access via stairs, this caused many issues as the station is becoming busier and busier. Crossrail have started construction of the programme of station upgrade activity during the second half of 2017 and into 2018.
