Dormy Care’s aim was to create a luxurious and homely care environment that maximised the available space and outlook over the beautiful Welsh countryside and mountains. Offering a full spectrum of person-centred care; from dementia, nursing and palliative care to residential and respite, the 70 en-suite bedrooms and communal spaces, which include a coffee lounge, bar, cinema, gym, beauty salon, sitting and dining rooms all needed to be beautifully designed and provide finishes that are tailored and complementary to the ladies and gentlemen’s needs, enabling the best possible care.

The Award-Winning Hale End Court Extra Care development is a unique housing scheme designed to meet the needs of frail or vulnerable people living in Woking. Woking Borough Council in collaboration with Willmott Dixon and HNW Architects set out to carefully design and deliver a supportive and sustainable independent living scheme.Woking Borough Council’s vision for Hale Court was to develop a high-quality, modern, sustainable, and purpose-built Living Facility emphasising independence, whilst providing aspects of extra care distinguishing the facility from typical residential care.Woking Borough Council were keen to support a contemporary aesthetic whilst remaining sympathetic to the historic Old Woking High Street and adjacent listed buildings. They were also keen to meet environmental targets and deliver a sustainable scheme.
Junction 17 Mental Health Facility

Junction 17 is a 20 bed unit at Prestwich Hospital and offers a specialist adolescent mental health service for young people who require assessment and treatment for a range of complex mental health difficulties. Junction 17 provides a wide range of services both in the community and within a state of the art inpatient unit.
Whilst trying to create a safe environment the Trust worked hard to design a stylish and colourful interior. Striking colours including Jazzberry and Aurora were selected from the Equinox Stripe and Tones ranges to create this co-ordinating, inspiring and welcoming setting.
Lake View Lodge Care Home

Country Court Care wanted to produce a purpose-built home that offers residents beautiful, homely accommodation, combined with first class care at an affordable price and Samantha Lord, Design Director at Samantha Lord Interior Design Ltd, was set the task of designing the interior finishes to meet this specification.
The care home which consists of 66 en-suite bedrooms, a hair salon, a café/bistro, shop, cinema room, numerous lounges and communal areas required a flooring solution that would flow throughout the home and have performance characteristics that would withstand the demands of all their residents.

London and Manchester - Finney House Preston

Jeanne Davies, Interior Designer for L&M, was tasked with creating a homely atmosphere with the décor and layout which is more accustomed to a luxurious 5-star hotel.
Comfort, warmth and care had to be at the cornerstone of her creative inspiration. Working with Architect Bryan Walker of Red Apple Design Jeanne had to carefully consider the interior design to ensure that the unique needs of each of the residents were met whilst also creating a stylish interior scheme.
Marland School - SEN School

The residential school, in the hamlet of Peters Marland, just outside Great Torrington, offers residential provision for Year 6 to Year 11 male students from across Devon. The boys who attend have either a statement of special education needs or an education, health and care plan for social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
The primary role of the school’s residential facility is to provide a safe, rewarding, and positive environment and they needed to build an additional building and refurbish existing residential facilities to achieve this. The school looked to danfloor to supply the carpet.
Sherborne Girls School school carpet

In 2017 Sherborne Girls mapped out their strategic direction for the following 5 years, which included a space audit and improvement plan to ensure that all buildings and facilities would be brought up to a consistently high level.
Since 2006 the school has seen significant investment in buildings and major refurbishment work, with one of the most recent and largest developments undertaken in decades being the construction of the new Arts Centre, which included the instalment of Classic XL from the Nordform Collection.

As the first school in the UK to be approved for all three IB Programmes, Southbank has flourished from its humble beginnings in London’s South Bank with just a few dozen students, and is now a renowned multi-campus institution in the heart of London.
As a result of its success, expansion of its campus was essential to accommodate growing numbers, hence the opening of Cleveland Street in September 2018, allowing an additional 200 students, aged between 11 to 19 years old, to benefit from the IB experience.

Ginni Bilham, lead Interior Designer was tasked with updating and transforming the Bedale Centre which provides specialist mental health, substance misuse and learning disability services. Ginni’s main aim was to create a tranquil feeling throughout the facility, which in turn would help users of the centre to feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits. ”The décor was previously very plain. Everyone loves a trip to the seaside and feels refreshed after a day by the sea so I wanted to create that atmosphere within the Centre.” Explains Ginni.

This beautiful Grade II listed building has been lying unused and unloved for many years and Springfield Healthcare wanted to restore the setting into an environment which not only pays tribute to the heritage of the building but also provides a unique residential home with specialist care facilities.

The new innovate 60 bed care home provides specialist dementia care in a revolutionary setting. The circular design enables freedom of movement around the building for residents and direct access to safe and secure gardens from the ground floor.
Developed specifically for people with dementia, leading not-for profit care operator Abbeyfield wanted to provide a care home that was not only comfortable and safe but also enables residents to enjoy new levels of independence.
