The L&Q residential development required a high-performance external façade solution that could deliver long-term durability, full fire compliance, and a contemporary architectural finish.

Cullinan Studio’s design focused on a clean linear façade expression that balanced visual interest with functional performance. The use of profiled Aluminium planks provided rhythm and articulation across the elevations, while ensuring compatibility with a fully non-combustible, ventilated wall construction.

The façade also required an airtight but breathable membrane to support energy performance and long-term envelope protection.

DryKlad® provided an integrated package, including the DryKlad® Support System, DryKlad® Extruded Aluminium Plank, and Wraptite® Membrane. The A2-rated DryKlad® planks offered a crisp contemporary finish, excellent dimensional stability, and long-term weathering resistance.

The adjustable bracket and rail system enabled Stoneguard Projects Ltd to accommodate substrate variation while achieving accurate alignment across the façade. The Wraptite® membrane delivered continuous airtightness and secondary weather protection behind the ventilated cavity.

The combined system formed a robust, fully non-combustible façade build-up suitable for a mid- or high-rise residential environment. Stoneguard Projects Ltd benefited from the lightweight nature of the cladding components, improving installation efficiency and reducing structural loading. The solution met all performance expectations, including fire safety, durability, and ease of installation.

The completed project delivers a modern, cohesive architectural outcome aligned with L&Q’s vision for high-quality, safe, and sustainable housing.
