OVERVIEW
Set within the Somerset countryside, The Newt is a hotel with a habit of hiding its luxuries in plain sight. Its gymnasium is a case in point: a building designed to almost vanish into the landscape, drawing attention not to itself, but to the view it frames. It features one of the largest single pieces of bespoke glazing in the world, allowing the gym’s hard-working occupants to feel the burn while looking out over the productive kitchen garden.
This quiet, subtle and in-keeping piece of architecture contributes wonderfully to The Newt’s impressive portfolio, which also includes The Creamery, The Roman Villa, The Beezantium and the Cider Press & Cellar - all of which celebrate Somerset agriculture and agrotourism.Modern glass fronted gymnaseum
