As standard it is impregnated for Euroclass B,s2-d0 for resistance to fire, achieving top results against surface spread of flames, smoke production, and flaming droplets or structural integrity in case of fire.Additionally for this installation the panels were lacquered for humidity resistance, this treatment provides additional protection to the wood against water damage and can also be used for panels being installed outside.

CONCEALED RISER DOORSOur Christo Riser Doors blend discreetly and seamlessly with the surrounding interior. They are certified third party fire approved and are available in a variety of acoustic and air tight options. With a ‘T’ Key or Euro Cylinder Locked for security, the doors have a 5 Point Locking Mechanism securing the leaf in 5 places.

SAS International designed and supplied metal ceiling products to the beautiful offices of Allied Irish Bank, Molesworth Street. Collaborating with RKD Architects & StructureTone, a range of systems including SAS130, SAS330 triangular fused mesh panels, SAS330 planks and SAS Tee Grid were supplied to accommodate the office area, boardroom and communal areas. SAS130 Mesh was chosen for its aesthetic and Class A acoustic absorption capability, enhancing a productive working atmosphere ideal for an open plan space. To overcome a specific challenge with the breakout area on the project, the SAS330 triangular suspended mesh panels were manufactured with a fused edge detail.

Welcoming the building users the creatively versatile SAS740 has been installed in the reception area. For the 120-seat lecture theatre, the architects had envisioned a feature ceiling with an angled effect. SAS200 panels were designed at a 16-degree angle to create an angular effect, accomplishing the he architect’s design intent. The offerings on the ground floor also includes a seminar space. For this SAS specified the visually engaging SAS500 baffles which offers enhanced acoustic performance due to double faced panels. In completion, SAS also supplied SAS600 rafts to this purpose-built hub which connects business and academia.

Installation completed of 3 number MG200 sliding folding partitions with integral glazing. With this project being over budget for the client ModernGlide were able to offer our range of veneer effects laminates instead of a hard wood veneer to give a saving to the client.The sliding folding acoustic partitions were designed and installed to sepperate the busy worship and social space. This allowed for 1 larger usable room and then to be sepperated with the use of the MG200, each system were manufactured with a access passdoor. Each MG200 system offers a access door panel to get to one side of the opening to the other as standard. Our flush lever door handle has been designed to comply with the DDA regulations. Due to the high level of foot traffic within these areas the MG200 system was ideal as each panel edge being protected with a satin anodised aluminum profile. Manufactured panels have a different level of acoustic reduction, but all of them provide the kind of flexibility needed to work perfectly within any office or commercial environment following a professional installation from ModernGlide. Because there is no need for a structural head support, this makes the MG200 series perfect for smaller openings. The versatility of our sliding folding wall partitions continue through the format of slimline stacking. This means that when the wall is not in use, it will take up minimal space in your environment.

Architect: BDP GlasgowInstaller: Linear ProjectsProduct: Shiluvit by Oranit375m2 of Shiluvit panels in 7-501A format and in PEFC Certified Yellow Pine with an Oak effect stain were installed to the ceilings of the mezzanine corridors in the central atrium at Marr College in Troon.Shiluvit panels were chosen in part for their ability to easily incorporate lighting and ventilation into the ceiling whilst also giving ease of access with the tip-and-tilt demountable design.The ceilings were installed to the new £37m wing which was added to the 1935 building, the new wing includes 8 state-of-the-art laboratory spaces and full professional kitchen suites as well as a library, refectory, and break-out social spaces.

Installation of 3 number MG100 Semi Electric Movable Acoustic Walls for a large company in London. This design has allowed our client to have 4 separate rooms or 1 larger flexible working space. With a flick of a switch there is no need to manually lock each panel off with the automatic top and bottom seals locking off the system. One of the closed spaces did not have an internal access door so we included an inset door panel within one of the standard panels to allow for access in-between the rooms once the panels are in their closed position. Our client wanted as much clear workable room space as possible and using the double point stacking tracks the panels foldaway into a recessed pocket. Grey laminate panel finish chose to give a clean design and match other furniture within the room. An element of flexibility is suddenly added to your space. Travelodge have recently started a £100million nationwide modernisation programme as well as an increase of their Hotel brand sites. Travelodge Oxford is a New Build Development on Abingdon Road, built to help with the growing demand for affordable hotel accommodation in Oxford, mainly due to the increase in tourism as well as families visiting students in the city.The new Travelodge on Abingdon Road has 83 rooms, to supplement the demand in the area. The existing Travelodge in Oxford which was built in 1999, also has plans to be upgraded and refurbished with a new entrance, conservatory and a revamped restaurant.Soundis supplied the acoustic flooring at this Travelodge project for the Main Contractor Hinton Design & Build. The Travelodge specification for a high quality acoustic flooring system included 22mm T&G Chipboard and 19mm Plasterboard Plank, over a 30mm high density Rockfloor insulation floor slab with acoustic flanking edging band around the perimeter to separate and isolate all abutments. The whole project required over 1,200 sq metres of acoustic flooring.

In the heart of Blyth’s impressive harbour development, The Commissioners Quay Inn sought out a soundproofing solution, to improve the noise quality within the rooms. Allowing customers enjoy a better night’s sleep, as noise was able to spread to the rooms above.Upon being called from main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland, we won tender to supply 1,358 m2 of 50mm FFT3 Soundis Acoustic Battens including 10mm Soundis Rubber Acoustic Resilient Layer. To reach required Part E of Building Regulations, but also to improve noise quality and allow for creating a void for any under floor applications, such as cables.

20,000 sq ft of brand new ‘BREEAM® Excellent’ Class A office space in Union Street, London, offers the character and qualities of Bankside’s industrial past, whilst offering a beautiful environment for modern office life. Open plan interiors featuring exposed concrete soffit and walls, full height ‘factory style’ windows, Maple timber Bathgate raised floor panels, and ‘acoustic’ decorative timber.

For many, living in a glorious rural location in a contemporary, minimalist home is the dream. The clean lines, open plan spaces and large expanses of glass to let the outside views and natural light flood in. Architectural practice, dMFK, attract staff back to the office with Oscar Acoustics market-leading SonaSpray acoustic ceiling spray.In 2022, award-winning architectural practice dMFK, in collaboration with architects Sher + White, embarked on refurbishing dMFK’s HQ in Fitzrovia, London, to create a collaborative space for its workforce. They enlisted Oscar Acoustics to help create an acoustically balanced environment which would also work with the aesthetics of the interior space.SonaSpray K-13 was applied in a stunning pale grey colourway to the ceilings of the areas with the greatest potential for excess noise – the communal areas, large meeting rooms, and co-working spaces.On the finished project, De Metz commented: “We’re thrilled with how the office looks and performs. Oscar Acoustic’s SonaSpray is the single most noticeable and effective material in our office and directly contributes to day-to-day comfort and the ability to work without bothering others.”

Architect: Artillery Architecture Installer: Stortford Interiors Product: Gustafs Panel System LSA supplied almost 200m2 of custom perforated Gustafs ceiling panels to the feature catwalk ceiling which spans the full length of the Catlin Insurance offices in London.This was our first project working with Gustafs to use custom perforation patterns, the chosen style is a backlit semi bespoke geometric pattern designed to be rotated to give the illusion of random perforations along the 60m long stretch whist giving excellent acoustic control. This design was previously used by Gustafs in the Swedish Embassy in Washington DC and we are very proud to have this project in our portfolio.

Fire rated SonaSpray K-13 in grey was used to provide a decorative acoustic solution throughout client Radius Payment Solutions breakout areas and gym. Chosen by Space Invader Design for its deliberately textured and seamless finish, SonaSpray K-13 achieves superb acoustics without design compromise. By using SonaSpray designers are able to create calm and inviting interiors that sound as good as they look.

The timber construction had several challenges of a swimming pool environment. The Laudescher LINEA 2.4.3 (aw-0.90, Absorption Class-A, NRC–0.90) manufactured for its properties to not swell, absorb or mutate while bringing in the usual high quality acoustic properties that absorbs the reflective sounds that will promote greater communication in the pool environment which is vital for teaching and ultimately the safety of the students, teachers, and coaches.

This Edge Grove School has used the Laudescher2.4.3 system that will not only work as an absorbing surface but also works at diffusing the sound. Along with the great acoustic properties the Linea range also adds to the natural aesthetics.

The International Rugby Experience is a new cultural institution and visitor experience to honour the worldwide game of rugby.Niall McLaughlin Architects specified BASWA Phon for its ability to conform to the complex curved design and excellent acoustic performance. The marble plaster acoustic finish was tinted to a bespoke colour and matched to the red bricks used in the project. Over 600 square metres of BASWA Phon was used throughout the project, expertly installed by QT Interiors of Ireland.

This wonderfully designed project by Spaced Out Architecture incorporates the Topakustik 30/2M in American Walnut. Installed by T & M Building Services the Topakustik 30/2M planks (absorption class c, NRC 0.75) were manufactured with a moisture resistant core board and finished with an American Walnut veneer. Due to the environment of projects with spas and swimming pools the core board ensures the integrity of the structure and acoustic performance of the planks.

The Orangery is a Grade I listed building and it’s a key attribute of Kew Gardens as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.During its renovations the Client brief included removal of existing fabric acoustic baffles and installation of a new bespoke acoustic system.Soundis were contracted to supply and install Absorb-R GypLine aw Acoustic Spray Plaster to the ceiling within The Orangery.Absorb-R GypLine aw Acoustic Spray Plaster was chosen due to its seamless finish providing amazing reductions in reverberation times whilst blending into the look of the whole ceiling which gave a sophisticated but modern without compromising the aesthetics of the building. Installation was carried out by our installation partner UK Acoustic Systems

Caring Wood is an exceptional private house design, set in a rural location. The interior acoustics were seen as key to user comfort and lifestyle within this family home. The project won the coveted RIBA and Grand Designs House of the Year 2017. This remarkable residential project made excellent use of BASWA, which contributes to a calmer lifestyle within the property without compromising the design. As the house is occupied by three generations of the same family, acoustics play a huge part in wellbeing.

Isolating Hotel Rooms from RestaurantsPreventing noise transmission between the noisy areas of a building to the quiet areas is an ongoing challenge. When the quiet areas are people sleeping and the noisy area is a busy hotel dining room, the problem is particularly acute, but can be resolved by using the appropriate products which are cost effective and easy to install correctly.The ProjectPremier Inn Scarborough North is a new build 105 room, 5-storey hotel with a 68-cover restaurant, which was completed in March 2021. The new hotel was granted planning permission in 2018 and construction was slightly delayed over the Covid lockdown period.Owner of the Premier Inn brand, Whitbread, continues to see strong growth with their UK business continuing to outperform in the midscale and economy market and now has over 800 hotels in the UK. Key to the brand’s message is that wherever you stay in a Premier Inn, you will always get great levels of comfort.The ChallengeSources of noise which affect hotel guests include:External sources of noise and vibrationTransmission between rooms and between rooms and corridorsTransmission from engineering systems (ventilation and air conditioning, heating systems, lifts and so on)Transmission from public areas – reception, conference facilities and in particular restaurants.Noise transmission from restaurants, bars and reception areas becomes a significant challenge where the design of the hotel incorporates these areas on the ground floor of a block, with hotel rooms directly above.Reducing the transmission of noise from a large common area to individual hotel rooms rests principally on isolating the plasterboard or suspended ceiling. To overcome this challenge, a frequent recommendation is to design a ceiling incorporating neoprene isolation hangers.Neoprene Isolation Hangers for HotelsNeoprene isolation hangers are primarily used to isolate suspended sources of audible frequency vibration, such as piping and ductwork systems. They also provide very effective vibration isolation for hanging acoustic ceilings by preventing transmission of noise to the building structure.The isolation hangers supplied for use in the ceiling at Premier Inn Scarborough North were Isogrid Quick-Connect Ceiling Hangers, supplied by CMS Danskin Acoustics.The IsoGrid Quick Connect Ceiling Hanger has a specially designed dual deflection neoprene isolator which allows internal bulging. This enables the neoprene element to achieve greater deflections whilst maintaining lateral stability.
