Application

weberend MT panel silicone system is designed for application onto an appropriately-framed calcium silicate panelled background.

Applied with weberend LAC rapid resin-rich adhesive render coat and strengthened with glass-fibre weber standard meshcloth, this system doesn't require the use of primers, saving time lost waiting for primers to dry.

Water resistant webersil TF is used as the final finish to provide a silicone textured finish available in a wide range of over 100 colours.

Use multiple finishes on the same project

This system can be used in conjunction with the weberend MT panel brick system for building designs which require a mix of brick and render finishes.

Description

[Formerly known as weberend MTR 124P]

weberend MT panel silicone system is a thincoat render system for use on approved render carrier boards.

This system is completed with an enhanced water resistant silicone textured finish available in over 100 colours.

Features and benefits:

Final façade finish:

Reaction to fire:

  • A2-s1,d0 reaction to fire classification in accordance with BS EN 13501. Extended application report on request.

Certification & requirements:

  • BBA approved for the following render carrier boards (scroll down for BBA certificates):
  • Glasroc X
  • Knauf Aquapanel Exterior
  • Siniat Bluclad
  • Accepted by the NHBC in relation to NHBC Standards

Suitability:

  • Large areas can be rendered on calcium silicate panels without the need for expressed joints.
  • Strengthened with glass-fibre weber standard meshcloth.
  • Factory batched materials for consistency.
  • Please refer to our website for information on BBA certification and suitability for different building heights.

The installation must be capable of resisting all dead loads and design live loads, including impact and wind loads, and accommodate all thermal movements without damage.

System installation is to be strictly in accordance with Saint-Gobain Weber specification. Please note that any other manufacturer's products used within the system will invalidate the guarantee, and the performance cannot be supported.

Remedial work must be completed prior to the installation of Weber render systems.

All rendering must be in accordance with the relevant recommendations of BS 13914-1: 2005, Design, Preparation and Application of External Rendering and Internal Plastering, BS 8000: Code of Practice for Plastering and Rendering. Consult manufacturer for further details.

Aquapanel Exterior should be restricted to use on buildings no greater than 7.2 m in height. If this restriction is exceeded design advice should be sought from Knauf and recorded.

Recommendations:

Timber or metal frame structure is required, including support rails suitable to receive render substrate boards in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, providing an in-plane and of adequate thickness for appropriate support and stiffness (limit mid span deflections L/200 and cantilever deflections to L/150. Board mid-span deflections should be limited to L/500) to receive weberend MT reinforced render system within the stated deflection limits or edge protrusions.

Prior to installation of the weberend MT system, ensure the manufacturer of the proposed approved substrate boards are contacted to obtain their fixing recommendations and ensure the boards suitability in withstanding the necessary wind load requirements for the specific project.
