Application
SikaRapid®-2 is especially suitable for any application where fast early set and strength development plays a major role, or is of crucial importance within 6 to 24 hours. Typical applications include:
- Precast concrete.
- Prestressed concrete.
- Making concrete in cold ambient temperatures.
- Speeding up construction schedule.
Description
SikaRapid®-2 is a low alkali, chloride free liquid set accelerator for concrete and mortar which promotes early strength development without negatively influencing final strengths.
SikaRapid®-2 does not contain chlorides or any other ingredients which promote the corrosion of steel. It is therefore suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.

- When applied with a HRWR/Superplasticiser, SikaRapid®-2 will have minimal effect on the fresh concrete properties.
