ShieldSEAL Liquid Applied Waterproofing System

A one part, wet-on-wet liquid applied roof waterproofing system. Due to its excellent adhesion it can be applied on several surfaces: plywood, bitumen membranes, asphalt, metals, brick and concrete.

Components:

ShieldSEAL is a waterproofing system that consists of the following:

• ShieldSEAL PU Primer - Two-component, polyurethane-based primer for use over concrete substrates (where required).
• ShieldSEAL - Single component waterproofing based on polyurethane resin.
• ShieldSEAL Top - Two-component polyurethane resin UV-protection finishing layer.
• ShieldSEAL Grip - Plastic beads mixed in to SHIELDSeal Top to provide a rough surface for walkways.

Technical characteristics:

• Density: ShieldSEAL - 1.3–1.4 kg/m³; ShieldSEAL Top: 1.3 kg/m³.
• Viscosity at 23°C: 2.0–8.0.
• Dry extract: >90.
• Flash point: 42°C.
• Ashes at 450°C weight: 42–47%.
• Temperature: 2°C and rising and not exceeding 30°C.
• Hardness Shore A at 23°C: C >75.
• Tensile strength: Reinforced with ShieldSEAL matting >10 MPa.
• Dry time: 2–8 hours. Fully cured in 24 hours.
• Tensile strength: 7 MPa.
• Overcoat time: +5 ~ +48 hours.
• Elongation: >400%.
• Water vapour resistance: u = 2.500.
• Concrete adherence: >2 MPa.
• Percentage solids: ShieldSEAL - 90%; ShieldSEAL TOP - 60%.
