Description

Antibacterial high pressure laminate (HPL), manufactured with silver ions (Ag+), which bind with components of the bacteria and cause it to die off.

These silver ions are added to the laminates during the finishing process, resulting in an effective, non-toxic product which is not harmful to humans or the environment.

Features and benefits:

  • Antibacterial in accordance JIS Z 2801.
  • Food safe (according to EN 1186 and EN 13130).
  • Seam, impact, abrasion and scratch resistant (according to DIN EN 438).
  • Heat resistant.
  • Resistant to common household chemicals.
  • Light-fast (according to EN 438).
  • Offers integrated hygienic protection, which works effectively against bacteria (including MRSA or E. coli). 99.9% of the bacteria will be destroyed.
  • Can be used to create a unique interior design.
  • Can withstand high levels of public traffic, and provides lasting protection.
  • Can be inscribed with non-permanent board markers or crayons dependent on finish chosen. Consult manufacturer for information.
  • FSC® certification is available on request.

Fire behaviour (to EN 13501-1):

D-s2, d0 (on chipboard substrate).

Technical characteristics (to DIN EN 438-2):

  • Vapour resistance: ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour.
  • Stain resistance: ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour.
  • Impact resistance: ≥20 N.
  • Heat resistance: ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour.
  • Light fastness: Grey scale 4–5.
  • Abrasion resistance: ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour (decor related discrepancies are possible. Initial abrasion IP ≥150).
  • Scratch resistance: Moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour (standard surfaces: ≥2 N; brilliant gloss and perlmatt surfaces: ≤2 N).
